Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

In the traditionally godless city of New Capenna, there is little reverence for higher powers or religious structures. Most citizens do rely, however, on the boons and blessings of the Five Families and their leaders. The Cabaretti family caters to the high society and guilty pleasures of New Capenna alike, and its leader is a man with mastery over both -- Jetmir, the Nexus of Revels.

Clerics of the Food Domain typically take pride in the culinary arts, having been granted sanctuary by the many chefs and cooks of the Cabaretti, earning the opportunity to perfect their skills in service to Boss Jetmir. New Capennans may not devote their lives to the gods, but the city's feasts are certainly to die for.

Kitchen Savant

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency with cook's utensils and herbalism kits.

Additionally, whenever you make an ability check related to food and drink, you add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus. You also learn the prestidigitation cantrip if you don't already know it.

Channel Divinity: Feast for the Weary

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to imbue the food you prepare with divine properties.

As an action, you present your holy symbol and pray for a blessing of the meal you are about to prepare. The blessing speeds up the process, so you only need 10 minutes to make a meal for a number of people up to or equal to your Wisdom modifier, provided you have suitable food, cook’s utensils, and other supplies on hand. At the end of the meal, each creature who partook in it regains hit points equal to two times your cleric level, and has advantage on death saving throws for 1 hour.

Channel Divinity: Culinary Magic

At 6th level, you can use your Channel Divinity to imbue food with magic of your own. As an action, you can cast a cleric spell, targeting one item of food with it. The spell is then stored in the item of food until it is eaten or until you take a short or long rest, whichever comes first.

When a creature eats the item of food, the spell is released, targeting only the creature that consumed it. If the spell requires concentration, the creature can, by focusing on the lingering flavor, maintain concentration as normal. If it doesn't, the spell ends at the start of the creature's next turn.

Potent Spellcasting

Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

Food to Live For

Starting at 17th level, your mastery of the gastronomic art has reached a level where simply eating your food puts a spring in people's steps. After eating a meal you prepared while being within 30 feet of you, a creature has its movement speed increased by 10 feet, treats its exhaustion level as it was one lower, and has advantage on initiative checks. This effect lasts for one hour, and a creature can’t benefit from it again until it finishes a long rest.
