Combat Wager

3rd Level Betting Blade feature

Your proclivity for risk extends into your fighting style. When you hit a creature with an attack that would qualify for your Sneak Attack, you can choose to wager some of your Sneak Attack dice.

Choose any number of Sneak Attack dice that you would normally roll, and set them aside. Then, you roll a Wager Die, which is a d6. If you roll a 3 or lower on the Wager Die, you lose the dice you set aside, and cannot roll them for the damage for the Sneak Attack. On a 4 or higher, you double the number of dice you have set aside. After you determine the outcome of the Wager Die, roll the adjusted Sneak Attack damage. For example, if you set aside 2d6, and then roll a 5 on the Wager Die, you would roll 4d6 when dealing Sneak Attack damage for that attack.

3rd Level Betting Blade feature

You gain proficiency with all gaming sets. Moreover, you have advantage on any ability check you make in an attempt to cheat in a game.

Calculated Risk

9th Level Betting Blade feature

You've learned how to truly tug the threads of fate. When you roll initiative for combat, but before combat begins, you can exchange your initiative with another creature within 30 ft. of you. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until your finish a short or long rest.

Stack the Odds

13th Level Betting Blade feature

Your eye for opportunity is like no other. Whenever you have advantage on an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can roll a third d20, and use the highest of the three rolls.

Double or Nothing

17th Level Betting Blade feature

Your biggest gambles yield the best rewards. Whenever you lose dice when using your Combat Wager feature, you can choose to reroll the Wager Die, and must use the new roll. When you roll the Wager Die in this way, you must set aside any remaining Sneak Attack dice you hadn't set aside initially.
