Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

As a Paladin of the Oath of Sacrifice, you harness the power of your own goodwill and desire to be helpful to fuel your magical abilities. You possess a pool of sanity points equal to 250 + your Charisma modifier. These points are used to cast spells, with cantrips costing one point and spells costing 2 points plus the spell level.

Your sanity is tied to your well-being and ability to maintain your connection to this oath. Falling below certain thresholds can have dire consequences. If your sanity points fall below 225, the DM can force you to make Wisdom saving throws in stressful situations. On a failed save, you take 1d6 sanity damage. If your sanity falls below 200, the DM can force you to roll a Wisdom saving throw at random points in addition to stressful situations. If your sanity falls below 175, the use of your Oath abilities costs twice as many sanity points, and the DC of the Wisdom saving throw increases. On a failed save, you take 2d6 sanity damage. If your sanity falls below 150, the Wisdom saving throw inflicts 2d10 sanity damage. If your sanity falls below 100, you must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 20) with no equipment modifiers. On a failed save, you lose control of your character permanently. Your party must use the mechanics of the subclass to restore your sanity. On a successful save, you gain 6 levels of exhaustion and lose your Paladin abilities, becoming a Battle Master Fighter of equivalent level.
