Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians who follow the Path of Dragonblood have awakened to the fact that their blood has been affected by a draconic ancestor or some other interaction with a dragon's lifeblood. They come to find that, along with this revelation, many facets of their skills and even bodies begin to change. Scales begin growing over their skin as they travel this path until most of their arms, legs and backs are covered in the stuff. Some even exhibit scaled patterns growing on their faces, sprouting horns, or even a tail. They inherit a few of a dragon's most terrifying martial qualities and their rage infecting others as a dragon's roar might. The fury of dragons can barely be contained in mortal form, afterall, it's bound to come spilling out eventually.

Blood Origin

When you take this subclass, choose the origin of your blood. Pick either Chormatic/Metalic or Gem. Some of the features of this subclass change based on your choice.

Additionally, you instinctively gain the ability to speak, read and write draconic.

Dragon's fury

At level 3, your body changes, brought on by the draconic blood in your veins. Draconic instincts inform you to the following changes:

Your fists become dangerous weapons and scales cover your entire arm up to your elbow, you unarmed damage becomes 1d4, using your strength for attack and damage rolls. This upgrades as you gain levels in this subclass.  At 6th level, they gain a +1 like a weapon would and deal 1d6. At 9th level, they are +2 and deal 1d8. At 12th level, it deals 1d10. At 15th level, they are +3 and deal 2d6. You may also make a bonus action attack but it will deal 1 damage dice lower than your action unarmed strike (1d4 at 3rd level, staying at 1d4 at 6th, then growing as specified).

Your rage becomes infused with a dragon's fury. When you rage, you can choose to roar, forcing every enemy entity within 30 ft to make a dc 10 + strength mod wisdom save or become frightened for 2 turns. Additionally, when you do, another effect is triggered based on your Blood Origin.

Chromatic/Metallic. Your claws are infused with a single damage type of your choice for 2 damage from Acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison. You also gain all of the previous elements as additional resistances during your rage regardless of infusion choice.

Gem. Your claws are infused with a single damage type of your choice for 2 damage from force, necrotic, psychic, radiant, or thunder. You also gain all of the previous elements as additional resistances during your rage regardless of infusion choice.

Your scales change to a color that is appropriate for the type of dragon associated with the damage you chose and stays that color until you infuse your claws in this way again.

Dragon's Heart

At 6th level, further changes in your body occur, your chest being covered in scales now. Your unarmored defense uses strength instead of dexterity now. Additionally, you gain the following effects based on your Blood Origin:

Chromatic/Metallic. Dragon Grasp- As an action while raging, you can breath on a grappled enemy, unleashing a point blank torrent of whatever element you are infused with at the time, dealing 2d10 damage. No save. No check. You can do this twice per rage.

Gem. Intense Dragon's Fury- As an action while raging, you can use your roar again. You can do this twice per rage.

Dragon's Spine

At 10 level, your transformation is nearly complete, your back sprouting a layer of scales. Your claw infusion damage is increased to 1d4. In addition, you gain the following benefits based on your Blood Origin:

Chromatic/Metallic. Dragon Stature- During your rage, you increase in size by one category when you rage unless there isn't enough room. This effect ends when your rage does. You also add your strength modifier to grapple checks and Dragon Grasp's damage is increased to 4d10.

Gem. Dragon Flight- During your rage you grow draconic wings and gain a fly speed equal to your movement speed. If you already had wings, its boosts existing fly speed by 20 feet. Your roar now has a dc of 10 + strength mod + proficiency bonus, ignores immunity to the frightened condition and also stuns those who fail the save for the frightened duration.

Dragon's Essence

At level 14, you are as draconic as your humanoid form will allow, your feet up to your knees are enveloped in scales. Your infusion damage is increased to 1d6 and you gain additional benefits based on your Blood Origin:

Chromatic/Metallic. Improved Dragon Stature- When using Dragon Stature, you may now chose to be either large or huge, provided there is enough space. Your Dragon Grasp damage is now 5d10

Gem. Superior Dragon's Fury- The range of your roar is extended to 60 ft and now deals 2d12 damage to enemies who are frightened by it.

Dragon's form

At 14th level, You can temporarily shed your humanoid form to fully embody the majesty of your blood. You can expend 3 rage charges to take the form of a young dragon according to the last infusion you used. You use their stat block and follow rules similar to druid wildshape. This lasts 1 minute and may only be done once per long rest. At level 20, the form is upgraded to an adult dragon.
