Base Class: Rogue
Your focus is on people and on the influence and secrets they have. Many spies, courtiers, and schemers follow this archetype, leading lives of intrigue. Words are your weapons as often as knives or poison, and secrets and favors are some of your favorite treasures.
Master of Intrigue
When you select this archetype at the 3rd level, you acquire proficiency with the disguise kit, the forgery kit, and one gaming set of your preference. Furthermore, you learn two languages of your choice.
Moreover, you can flawlessly replicate the speech patterns and accent of a creature you've heard speak for at least 1 minute, allowing you to convincingly pose as a native speaker of a particular land, given that you know the language.
Master of Tactics
At the 3rd level, you gain the ability to take the Help action as a bonus action. Furthermore, when you use the Help action to assist an ally in attacking a creature, the target of the attack can be within 30 feet of you, rather than the usual 5 feet, as long as the target can see or hear you.
Insightful Manipulator
Beginning at the 9th level, if you invest at least 1 minute observing or engaging with another creature outside combat, you can discern specific information about its capabilities relative to your own. The DM informs you whether the creature is equal, superior, or inferior to you in terms of two characteristics of your choosing from the following:
- Intelligence score
- Wisdom score
- Charisma score
- Class levels (if applicable)
At the DM's discretion, you may also become aware of a fragment of the creature's history or one of its personality traits, if applicable.
Misdirection
Starting at the 13th level, you occasionally have the ability to redirect an attack intended for you towards another creature. If you are the target of an attack while a creature within 5 feet of you is providing cover against that attack, you can use your reaction to redirect the attack towards that creature instead of yourself.
Soul of Deceit
Beginning at the 17th level, your mind becomes impervious to telepathy and similar methods, unless you permit it. You can fabricate false thoughts by engaging in a Charisma (Deception) check contested by the mind reader's Wisdom (Insight) check.
Furthermore, regardless of your actual statements, magic attempting to ascertain your truthfulness will always indicate that you are being truthful if you desire, and you cannot be forced to speak the truth through magical means.
