Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Often known as Skygazers, paladins of the Countless Lights practice charity and outreach to all peoples. Often found by the Light, as they call it, after being cast out of their original oaths, or perhaps common folk with particularly powerful bonds to uphold, these paladins put would-be foes above themselves.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Kindle. Your holy symbol catches flame when you whisper sacred words as a bonus action. Choose up to four other creatures you can see within 30 feet of you. For a number of rounds equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1), a chosen creature regains hit points equal to half your proficiency bonus at the start of each of its turns. Until the effect ends, damage an affected creature takes is reduced to 0 if that damage is less than half your paladin level + your Charisma modifier.

Resplendent Font. As an action, you present your holy symbol and create a sustained effulgence using your Channel Divinity. You emanate bright light within 30 feet of you for 1 minute, though no dim light shines beyond this range; magical darkness that overlaps this light is dispelled. When a friendly creature (including you) ends its turn within the light, it gains temporary hit points equal to half your paladin level. When it takes damage from another creature within the light while it has these temporary hit points, the creature that harmed it takes fire damage equal to the temporary hit points lost.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Oath of Devotion Spells

Torchbearer

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you learn to wield fire as an implement of self-defense as well as your holy symbol. Using no action on your turn, you can ignite or quench a melee weapon you can hold in one hand, treating it as a torch while lit; its damage becomes 1d4 of its original type plus 1d4 fire damage, in place of its normal damage dice. While holding a lit torch, your AC increases by 1.

While you possess a lit torch, or a fire of equal or greater size within 5 feet of you, you can cast your oath spells as rituals, ignoring their material components. You can even cast oath spells without the ritual tag as rituals this way if they do not deal damage and don't require a saving throw.

Hearth Embodied

Living Light

At 15th level, Additionally, when you would drop to 0 hit points, you can choose to drop to 1 hit point instead. You can also use this feature if magic would kill you outright. You can use this feature once, regaining its use after a long rest.

Additionally, you have cultivated your own light, which burns strongest in the face of extinguishing. Any time you roll a 1, 2, or 3 on a saving throw, you respectively treat that roll as a 20, 19, or 18 instead.

Constellation

At 20th level, as an action, you are filled with the countless souls you've touched. Your eyes and mouth might outpour with light, or you may be surrounded by innumerable motes of glimmering flame. You gain one use of Channel Divinity, which can exceed your normal number of uses; it vanishes if unused when the transformation ends. You gain the following benefits for 10 minutes, or until you fall unconscious.
