Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of Gravity are extraordinarily rare, their gravitational abilities granted by the forces of the universe from birth. People tend to call these monks "Shifters" after their ability to shift the gravity around them, they tend to use their powers for the greater good of the world. Shifter themselves tend to live a lonely life, never having personal time as they keep the peace. Although is has been documented that some shifter use their abilities to roam the world, becoming a vigilante or an unstoppable evil. Regardless of the path they take, for Shifters of the Way of Gravity to find a teacher or mentor in this path is rare, and must learn from the universe itself how to move though it.

Gravity Shift

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your ki to affect the gravity around you. As a free action, you can spend 2 ki points to become shifted. While shifted, your body becomes translucent and glows a form of magenta, you are no longer affected by terrain, gain a flying speed of 20ft and you may use your normal movement speed along any surface. When you start your turn, you may spend another ki point to continue the Gravity Shift otherwise the shifted state ends. The state also ends if you fall unconscious. (Flying speed is increased by 20ft at level 6, 11, and 17)

Gravity Field

At 6th level, you can use your ki to affect the gravity around objects in a field around you. While in the shifted state, you may spend a ki point as a bonus action and choose an object smaller than you, within 5ft that is not being held by a creature, to float within your gravity field. You may have up to 2 objects in your gravity field at a time. The object will stay within 5 feet of you while you are shifted and grant you half cover, if an attack misses you because of the half cover, the object takes the attacks damage and could possibly break. (You can hold an additional item in your field at 11th and 17th level)

Additionally as an action, you may choose an object floating within your gravity field, when you do, the object flies in a straight line up to 60 feet in a direction you choose before falling to the ground, stopping early if it impacts against a solid surface. If the object would strike a creature, that creature must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the object strikes the target and stops moving. When the object strikes something, the object and what it strikes each take bludgeoning damage equal to two martial arts dice. (This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table.)

Enhanced Gravity

By 11th level, you have enhanced your Gravitational abilities. When you activate your Gravity Shift ability, you may have an object within 10ft float in your gravity field without using a ki point once a day. Additionally your field is strong enough to affect other creatures. When you hit a creature of size large or smaller with a melee attack, you can spend 1 ki point to bring that creature into your field, if it fails a WIS saving throw. A creature within your field is considered an object when using the Gravity Field ability, making the creature float with you, be used as half cover, and able to be thrown. The creature can make another saving throw at the start of each of its turns to try and escape the field.

Gravity Rush

Once you reach Level 17, your true abilities cannot be restrained. You no longer spend ki points to activate or upkeep your Gravity Shift Ability.
