Blood Hunter
Base Class: Blood Hunter

A warrior who joins the Order of the Desert Knights are sworn to defend the desert and its Goddess Marya from those would try to disturb it. Those that are the most dedicated to the cause have been approached by the Goddess herself, and are able to use their own lifeforce to draw powers from the wrath of Marya.

Life Conveyance

You are in tune with your own lifeforce to the point where you can share your vitality with others.

At the end of a short or long rest, you can take half of your Hemocraft hit die rounded down, and gain that many uses of your Life Swap. Then as an action you can expend those uses to give one creature Hit points equal to a roll of your Hemocraft die + your Constitution Modifier for each use expended.
When you take the healing action you can take damage up to the maximum roll of your Hemocraft, this affects your hit points, bypasses Temporary hit points, and cannot be reduced in anyway. When you do this for that action the damage taken equals the lowest possible roll of your Hemocraft for healing.

Your pool resets on a long rest

Pact Magic

Also at 3rd level, you augment your combat techniques with the ability to cast spells. See chapter 10 of the Player’s Handbook for the general rules of spellcasting and chapter 11 of the Player’s Handbook for the warlock spell list.

Cantrips. You learn two cantrips of your choice from the warlock spell list. You learn an additional warlock cantrip of your choice at 13th level.

Spell Slots. The Desert Knight Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have. The table also shows what the level of those slots is; all of your spell slots are the same level. To cast one of your warlock spells of 1st level or higher, you must expend a spell slot. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a short or long rest.

For example, when you are 8th level, you have two 2nd-level spell slots. To cast the 1st-level spell witch bolt, you must spend one of those slots, and you cast it as a 2nd-level spell.

Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher. At 3rd level, you know two 1st-level spells of your choice from the warlock spell list.

The Spells Known column of the Desert Knight Spellcasting table shows when you learn more warlock spells of your choice of 1st level and higher. A spell you choose must be of a level no higher than what’s shown in the table’s Slot Level column for your level. When you reach 13th level, for example, you learn a new warlock spell, which can be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd level.

Additionally, when you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the warlock spells you know and replace it with another spell from the warlock spell list, which also must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

Spellcasting Ability. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for your warlock spells, so you use your Intelligence whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a warlock spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier

Crimson Smite

The magic you have been granted has empowered your weapons. You can use a weapon imbued with your Crimson Rite as a spell casting focus for your Desert Knight Spells.

In addition when you hit a target with a weapon empowered by your Crimson Rite you can expend a spell slot to deal bonus damage of your Crimson Rite damage type to the target. The bonus damage is two rolls of your Hemocraft Die for a 1st-level spell slot, plus one more roll of your Rite Die for each spell level higher than 1st.

Cruor Warrior

You have gained a higher level of magical mastery. When you take the attack action you can replace one of your weapon attacks with a cantrip from your Desert Soul List excluding eldritch blast. You may change this spell to match the type of your Crimson Rite.

At 11th,13th, 15th, and 19th you can replace you second attack with a spell of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively.

Improved Crimson Smite

You gain one free use of Crimson smite, once per long rest The smite is used at One spell slot level lower than your maximum spell level. You gain another use at 11th level

Mirage Strikes

Your desert magic has become fully incorporated into your weapon disorienting your enemies. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack that creature has disadvantage on the next saving throw it makes against a Blood Rite or spell you cast before the end of your next turn. Spells cast through your Cruor Warrior feature are excluded from this

Desert Arcana

Mayra has granted you additional spells that you can now cast once per long rest without expending a spell slot

Champion of the Desert Goddess

You have become the ultimate symbol your Goddesses wrath and felling your enemies fuels her power within you.

When a creature dies within 30 feet of you, you can use a reaction to regain one expended Pact Magic spell slot, or gain temporary hit points equal to one roll of your Rite Die + your Intelligence modifier + half your Blood hunter level. Once you use this feature you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again.

Additionally once per long rest when you start a combat with no spell slots remaining you can regain one spell slot when you roll initiative
