The monastery of the Blue Devil Tradition, headed by former Open Palm traditionalist Tamriel Hellsong, believes in the power of both flame and lightning. Utilizing both elements to their maximum efficiency, monks who follow this Tradition are mentored by none other than Tamriel himself, taught in the destructive- and restorative- usages of both Fire and Lightning. They can harness their Ki to empower their unarmed strikes (owing to the master's former tradition), produce blasts of burning and shocking energy, and even strengthen the resilience of both themselves and their comrades.

Blue Devil's Technique

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can harness your ki to empower your unarmed strikes. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:

  • The target takes fire damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die.
  • The target must make a Strength saving throw against your Ki save DC. On a fail, the target takes 1d4 lightning damage and their movement speed is halved until the start of your next turn, as a clawed hand of lightning forms around them immediately and slows them.

Novice Doctor

At 3rd level, you are trained in the ways of healing. You gain proficiency in the Medicine skill, if you do not have it already. You can use your action to automatically stabilize a dying creature, without making a Wisdom (Medicine) check.

Blue Devil's Armament

At 6th level, you can channel your Ki to summon a weapon made of searing flame or shocking lightning. You can use a bonus action to spend 2 Ki points and magically summon your Armament in your free hand. The Armament is a magical simple melee weapon that has the light property, and uses your Wisdom modifier for attack and damage rolls. Your Armament lasts for 10 minutes when summoned, and you can never be disarmed of it. When you summon the Armament, choose whether it does fire or lightning damage. On a hit, your Armament does 1d10 damage.

Moreover, if you are wearing and attuned to a Dragonhide Belt, the armament summoned by this feature gains a bonus to attack and damage rolls equal to the bonus granted by your Dragonhide Belt (ex. If you wear a +2 Dragonhide Belt, the armament of this feature gains a +2 bonus to its attack and damage rolls).

Blue Devil's Resilience

Beginning at 11th level, your Ki hardens your skin and blood against the very elements you control. You gain resistance to lightning damage. If you already have resistance to lightning damage, you instead gain resistance to fire damage.

Blue Devil's Transformation

At 17th level, you can use your Ki to channel the Blue Devil's extreme power into your body for a short time, emulating its form. As an action, you can spend 5 Ki points to gain the following benefits for 1 minute, or until you use an action to end the transformation early:

- You have immunity to fire and lightning damage.
- The armament summoned by your Blue Devil's Armament feature does one additional die of damage, and its reach is increased by 10 feet.
- You sprout spectral, devilish wings made of fire and wreathed in crackling lightning. You have a flying speed equal to your walking speed, and can hover.
