College of Spades

These bards have mastered trickery and deceit. They know exactly how to get what they want, sometimes even using magic to turn the odds in their favor.

Illusionist

- You can cast an illusion of you or a member of your party that you can control for 30 ft. The range of this illusion increases by 5 ft for every level.

- You gain the ability to use your cards to disappear temporarily. You can throw your deck of cards into the air as they surround you, allowing you to reappear in the time of one action up to 5ft from your starting position. You cannot use this ability to go through walls, or appear in the place of someone.

 

Cards of Deceit

-While you have these magical cards, you have advantage on any death saving throws you make.

-As a bonus action, you can cast your cards around you, floating mysteriously with a purple haze. The ability lasts for 5 minutes. As an action, you can throw one of these cards at your opponent. When you do, the opponent takes 1d6 damage. After the attack, roll a d8. If you roll an 8, then you do an additional 1d10 damage. You also gain a +2 bonus to your AC while this ability is active.

One with Odds

-Your Cards of Deceit now do 1d10, and 1d20 if you get lucky.

You can choose to manifest one of 4 suits of cards. The card suit will provide a different benefit based on which one you choose. They have no time limit and take action to switch. The different card suit benefits are as follows:

Diamond- You gain the ability to shoot a beam of purple magic, dealing 1d10 damage on a hit. You also can hover a foot above the ground.

Spade- You gain advantage on any checks you have on Charisma. You also gain the ability to evoke a dagger with a spade on it, acting as a normal dagger, taking a bonus action to use.

Club- When you attack with a weapon, you get a crit on an 18,19, or 20. When you crit, regain a charge of bardic inspiration.

Heart- You gain the ability to cast Cure Wounds once as a 4th level spell. This feature can be used once per long rest. Additionally, gain 1d8 hit points when you switch to this suit.
