Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Your patron is a being outside the cycle of life and death. Although neither divine nor undead, they are former mortal entities blessed or cursed to continue to live forever. As the eminence of death motivates all mortal creatures, the burden of immortality dampens their zest of life. Since they live to see their legacy, the Perpetuals are careful and thoughtful with their goals, if they had any to begin with. As deathless beings, they do not age nor do they die. Many of whom gained immense power, knowledge, and wealth through countless eons. Some scholars debate whether these Perpetuals were at some point failed gods, leading to inconclusive answers.
Becoming a warlock to these Perpetuals entails that you chose to become one of their many toys to be played with...or break. Most Perpetuals are known to take warlocks for their own selfish interests and schemes, while some will only do so for their own amusement. As patrons they will share their vast powers and knowledge, but do so in complex puzzles and riddles. Often breaking their warlocks mentally from the sheer incomprehensibility of the challenge. Essentially weeding out the weaker crop. They are, however, possessive of those that remained in their good graces, looking after those warlocks as treasured pets.
