Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Demon slayers are high endurance combatants that carefully regulate their stamina usage in battle; making use of a special breathing technique that laces their strikes with elemental energy.

Stamina

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you possess 4 stamina points and gain an additional point at 7th and 15th level. These points can be used to activate your Opening Thread feature. Stamina is regained after a short or long rest

Opening Thread

Starting at 3rd level, you’re able to manipulate your breathing to create threads of energy. Choose a damage type between acid, cold, fire, lightning, physical, poison, or thunder. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend 1 stamina point to deal an extra 1d10 damage of the chosen type. If your thread is physical, you instead deal an extra 1d10 bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage based on your weapon’s damage type. You can change the damage type used by this feature whenever you finish a long rest.

Acid

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend 1 stamina point to deal an extra 1d10 acid damage.

Cold

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend 1 stamina point to deal an extra 1d10 Cold damage.

Fire

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend 1 stamina point to deal an extra 1d10 Fire damage.

Lightning

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend 1 stamina point to deal an extra 1d10 lightning damage.

Physical

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend 1 stamina point to deal an extra 1d10 Physical damage of your weapon damage type.

Poison

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend 1 stamina point to deal an extra 1d10 Poison damage.

Thunder

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend 1 stamina point to deal an extra 1d10 Thunder damage.

Quick Sense

Starting at 3rd level, you’ve learned to perceive your surroundings at an alarmingly fast rate. You gain proficiency in the Perception skill and can double your proficiency bonus with Perception. You also can’t be surprised if you aren’t incapacitated.

Evade and Counter

At 7th level, after being targeted by an enemy attack that misses, you can use your reaction to teleport up to 30 feet to a location you can see and make a single weapon attack. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest

Enduring Form

At 10th level, if you would be reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can ignore the damage and replenish the use of your Second Wind feature. You can use this feature twice and regain expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Endless Breath

At 15th level, you can manipulate a boundless energy that surges within your lungs. Whenever you’re above half your maximum hit points, you can choose to use your Opening Thread feature without expending stamina points. If you do so, the extra damage dealt by the feature is also reduced to 1d4.

Final Form

At 18th level, as a bonus action you can enter Final Form for 1 minute. During this time, after damaging a creature with your Opening Thread feature, every other creature of your choice within 5 feet of the original target takes the same amount of Opening Thread damage. Once you enter Final Form, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
