Base Class: Fighter
A hooded figure walks through the woods at night, all alone, as it is jumped by a pack of bugbears. As the bugbears jump out of the bushes to attack the figure, they are caught surprised to the illusion that came before them. The hooded figure is surrounded by some fiend creatures looking at them. The bugbears try to ignore the ugly creatures but get ripped by them and one by one, the bugbears become the monsters themselves. The hooded figure walks again with his new soldiers. The orphan girl in the cabin at the corner of the town always seemed strange to the people around her. One night, the farmer next door heard too much noise. Angrily, he knocked on the door for answers and as the door opened, the man can see the girl with a half dead puppy lies on the table, smiling and barking at the man with a half bloody smile. The judge had never seen it coming. As he read his next case at his chamber, he started to choke from a man's arm, strongly tightening against his neck as the man holds next to his face a strange maul and demands that the judge will hand over all of the case's files. The judge points at the table for the case and the pages start to levitate behind the judge. The man turns into a dark fog and disappears. These strange creatures are all Forgemasters, special souls who are touched wiwth the hand of hell right from birth. Forgemasters travel the world, using their powers for good or evil as they please and discover their limits. Forgemasters are very rare, and they try to keep their talent mostly to themselves. With their hellish power they can fight, protect which they love and turn dead creatures into their servants. Those souls who are "blessed" with this power are discovered in the least expected places, at the least expected times.
Arcane Weapon
As a forgemaster, you channel your powers from within your arcane weapon. During a long rest, choose a melee weapon of your choice that does not have the two-handed property, and select a damage type between fire, cold or lightning. At the end of the long rest this weapon turns into your arcane weapon and deals additional damage of the type you chose equal to your Intelligence modifier.
If your arcane weapon is lost or destroyed, you can create a replacement, destroying the old one in the process.
Forgemaster Magic
You learn a limited set of spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Forgemaster Spells table. You can cast each of these spells without expending a spell slot. Once you cast a spell in this way, you can't cast that spell in this way again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast these spells using spell slots you have of the appropriate level. Your spellcasting ability for these spells is Intelligence.
Forgemaster Spells
Forgemaster Level
1st fire bolt, control flames, inflict wounds
3rd wither and bloom
5th speak with dead
7th wall of fire
9th raise dead
Bestow Soul
At 2nd level, you can use a bonus action to touch a body that's been dead for less than an hour and summon a random soul from hell into it. The body is transformed into a fiend which becomes your servant for the next 8 hours and uses the hellish servant stat block. If it dies or reaches the time limit, the fiend turns to ash. You can only have a single servant at a time.
Raise Familiar
Starting at 12th level, you can search through the depths of hell and summon a familiar soul. As an action, you can touch a dead humanoid and assign the chosen soul to it. If the soul does not wish to be summoned, it must make a Charisma saving throw to resist (DC equals to 10 + intelligence modifier + proficiency bonus). On a successful save, the soul is not summoned and cannot be targeted by this ability for a week.
The summoned soul takes the form of a hellish servant and remains in the body for up to an hour. It is independent from you.
Hellbomb
Starting at 8th level, you can blast surrounding enemies with your arcane weapon. As an action, you create a blast in a 10-foot radius and 30-foot high cylinder centered on you. Every hostile creature in the cylinder must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d8 damage of your choice between fire, cold or lightning. On a successful save, a creature takes half damage.
You can use this ability once and it resets on a short or long rest. The damage increases as you increase in level: 12th level (6d8), 14th level (10d8), and 17th level (12d8).
Master Forgemaster
At 18th level, you reach the peak of your abilities as a forgemaster. You can turn a weapon into your arcane weapon immediately using an action. Also you can have up to 3 servants simultaneously.
