Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Marksman rogues excel at fighting from range, able to finish a fight before it even begins.

Deadeye

A Marksman Rogue has no greater ally than their trusty bow stung along their back. Countless practice with their favored weapon renders them increasingly precise and deadly.

You have proficiency with Shortbows and Longbows, and a +3 to attacks rolls with both. In addition, when you score a critical hit with your bow, you add one additional damage dice on top of the already doubled amount.

Grappling Shot

Any Marksman knows that a stationary target is easier to hit than a moving one, if not for themselves, then at least for others.

As an action when you fire your bow, you may use a grappling arrow with a length of rope attached to a stake. On a hit, you drive the stake into a solid surface, automatically causing the grappled condition on their target.

This can be used twice per long rest.

At Higher Levels: At Level 15 you can use this feature 3 times per long rest.

Hone In

The best archers know how to focus on a target, and once they've hit it, to repeat their shots precisely.

When you hit on an attack roll with a bow, you can use your reaction to fire a second arrow into the same target with guaranteed success.

You can use this ability twice per long rest.

Shadow Strike

A Marksman is a Rogue first and as such knows how to take advantage of unsuspecting enemies.

When you hit on a sneak attack with your bow, treat it as a critical hit.
