Bard
Base Class: Bard

Scorched scripts were established there millennia ago making them the youngest form of bard and the second youngest class. Scorched scripts cannot use weapons like swords or spears but they say the pen is mightier then the sword for a reason. When you draw your artists tools ignites sketching or painting the air in fire, battles with a scorched script leaves even the air itself burned and charred, few would challenge such a force.

Penmanship

Level 3

You cannot use spears swords or any martial weapon substituting those for pens pencils and paint brushes which you use to draw weapons creatures and shields if you draw a creature it will disappear upon hitting the target.

At level 7 you can draw living creatures up to cr 2 at level 17 it increases to cr5

(If you want you could add a rule that you actually have to draw the image in order to use it.)

If you want to use a homebrew drawing it must have a stat total of 60 including ac it's hp can't be more than 40 and if it has any special abilities like a breath weapon or claw attack it must deal damage equal to your prof bonus times your level divided by two

Exp: if your level 13 and you have a prof of 4 your drawing will deal 24.5 rounded up so 25 damage

You can have only 2 living drawings out at any time and you must summon each using a full action

Artists tools

Choose one drawing tool/item depending on your choice your drawings will have new abilities or different effects.

  1. Paintbrush: can turn into a firearm of your choice that deals 1d8 damage per every 3 levels
  2. Pencil:turns into a mele weapon of your choice that also deals 1d8 damage per 3 levels
  3. Quill: you can write in every language "doesn't mean you can understand it it just copies down your thoughts in that particular language
  4. Pen: your drawings gain a extra hour of existence and you get a extra drawing slot but you subtract five from every attack roll
  5. Coal: allows your drawings to heal and gives them a extra+4 every five levels

coal piece

everyone has drawn with chalk or coal now you fight with Coal allows your drawings to heal 1d6 times the targets con modifier and gives them an extra+4 damage buff every five levels.

Paintbrush

Paintbrush: can turn into a firearm of your choice that deals 1d8 pierce damage per every 3 levels

the paintbrush will be engulfed in flames and will have a outline of the firearm you chose, this firearm is made of pure plasma and burns anyone who touches it the weapon must be a single shot weapon loke a shotgun, handgun, sniper or flintlock/musket

pen

Pen: your drawings gain an extra hour of existence and you get an extra drawing slot but you subtract five from every attack roll

pencil

Pencil: turns into a mele weapon of your choice that also deals 1d8 damage per 3 levels

The pencil a stable in all forms of writing and art used for design not war. or so one might think however scorched scripts turn such a simple item into a weapon that can defy even the most persistent attacker. When this ability activates flames will burst from the pencil ionizing the air making a blade of plasma that will then be used to strike the target.

quill

Quills allow the user to write in every language "doesn't mean you can understand it it just copies down your thoughts in that particular language. also gives all living drawings a 30ft fly speed that did not already fly

Still life
