Monk
Base Class: Monk

You have learned to Imbue thrown weapons with your ki to impart different effects.

Ki Imbued Weapon

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can Imbue your ki into a thrown weapon to augment your/someone else's thrown weapon attacks. Before you/someone else commits to a thrown weapon attack you can imbue the weapon with a ki point. On a hit, you can choose one of the following effects to take place by burning that ki point:

  • Teleport 5ft. from the target, returning the weapon to your hand.
  • It must make a Strength saving throw. If it fails, it can be pushed up to 15 feet away from you.
  • The weapon returns to your hand.

Alternatively, if the attack misses you can burn the imbued ki point.

  • The weapon returned to your hand.

The imbuement stays till a long rest or it is used, burning the imbuement is considered a special action however If another throws a weapon imbued by you, it becomes a reaction to trigger an effect..

At 6th level, you add 1d8 force damage to the effect increasing to 2d8 at 11th and 3d8 at 17th.

Patience of the Hunt

At 6th level, your imbuements potency has increased now dealing 1d8 force damage when you activate an effect. You can now through your mastery over Ki delay the effects of a Distant Strike. As a reaction, you can trigger all your delayed effects. Delayed effects can only be held for 1 minute. The affected target must be within 120 ft..

Echoes of Ki Imbuement

Beginning at 11th level, you can cycle your ki through a weapon giving it the effect of branding smite at 4th level for the cost of 2 ki points.

At the 17th level when you activate the effects of 2 or more Delayed Distant Strikes, you can spend 3 ki points to connect your targets with pulsating energy chains and increase the damage each target takes by (the number of targets)D8 on a failed DEX saving throw (DC {{savedc:wis}}). Half as much on a success.  If a creature is reduced to 0 hit points the remaining linked targets take an additional 1d8 force damage.

Additionally, the range to activate delayed effects when using Weaving Links, only requires one target to be within 60 ft. The rest of the targets must be within 60 ft of each other in a chain including the first target.
