Blood Hunter
Base Class: Blood Hunter

By imbibing a concoction made from a Beholder's eye known as the Magister's Folly, you join the Order of the Wilted Eye - a brotherhood dedicated to hunting evil spellcasters such as cultists, hags, and liches.

Rite of Spellblight

When you join the order at 3rd level, you learn the Rite of Spellblight as part of your Crimson Rite feature. When you activate the Rite of Spellblight, the extra damage dealt by your rite is Force damage. Additionally, while the Rite of Spellblight is active on your weapon, creatures struck by it have disadvantage on all concentration checks triggered by damage from this rite.

Mage's Bane

Also at 3rd level, the Magister's Folly has transformed your anatomy. You gain the following two benefits:

* You are always under the effects of the Detect Magic spell.

* You gain resistance to all damage from spells.

Blood Curse of Abeyance

At 7th level, you gain the ability to cast Counterspell by expending a use of your Blood Maledict. When cast in this way, the level of Counterspell you cast is equal to your proficiency bonus. Additionally, when using this feature, you may empower the Counterspell by taking damage equal to your Hemocraft Die. When empowered, the level of your Counterspell is increased by 2.

If you must make an ability check as per Counterspell's effect, the ability check is made using the attribute you chose for your Hemocraft modifier as per your Hunter's Bane class feature.

Spellshatter

Upon reaching 11th level, you can cause a surge of anti-magical energy to pulse through your weapon when striking with it. Whenever you hit a creature or object with your Rite of Spellblight, you can end the effects of one spell currently affecting that creature or object. The level of the spell ended must be equal to or lower than your proficiency bonus. Alternatively, if you strike a magic item with your Rite of Spellblight, you can use this feature to cause it to become nonmagical for 1 minute. Magic items that are either sentient or of Legendary or Artifact rarity cannot be affected by this feature.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses on the completion of a long rest.

Wilted Veins

At 15th level, your blood is so saturated with anti-magic that it can completely lock down a spellcaster. Whenever you affect a creature with an empowered Blood Curse, you render that creature incapable of casting spells until the end of their next turn. This feature does not affect spells cast from magic items such as spell scrolls of a Staff of Power.

Wilted Gaze

Upon attaining 18th level, your eyes mutate to become like that of a Beholder's. As an Action, you can project an antimagic cone from your eyes out to a range of 30 feet. This cone lasts for 1 minute, or until you choose to end it as a bonus action. Additionally, your Rite of Spellblight can remain active within the cone.

Once this feature is used, it cannot be used again until the completion of your next long rest.
