Base Class: Druid
Uses hit dice to power certain abilities.
Hit Die Pool
You have learned to harness your own life essence to power certain features and abilities. Your life essence is represented by your Druid hit dice and your hit point maximum at any given time. You have a number of Druid hit dice equal to your class level and you can recover a number of them equal to one half your class level when you finish a long rest.
You can expend more hit dice than you have available. When you do so, expend any hit dice you have remaining, and then roll a number of your class’s hit dice equal to the remaining cost of activation for the feature or ability. Subtract the number rolled from your maximum hit point total until you finish a long rest. Lowering your hit point maximum in this way does not also lower your current hit point total unless your maximum is reduced below your current.
Essence Wild Shape
Your connection to nature has spread to your life essence as well. As a bonus action, you can expend 1 Druid hit die to transform your life essence into the life essence of a beast. While your essence is transformed in this way, you replace your skill proficiencies and senses with those of the beast. You can keep your essence in beast form for a number of hours equal to one half your Druid level (rounded down). As a bonus action for the duration, you can switch your life essence from the beast to your own, or from your own to that of the beast.
You can only transform your life essence into the essence of a beast you have seen before. Your druid level determines the beasts you can transform your essence into, as shown in the Wild Shape Beast Shapes table, however, you are only limited by CR, not by flying or swimming speeds.
Minor Shape
When you expend one use of your Wild Shape feature and choose a beast to transform into, or as an action for the rest of the duration, you can expend 1 Druid hit die to transform just one of your appendages. Choose one of your arms, your head, or both of your legs (a species with wings or a tail can also choose its wings or tail). The appendage you choose transforms into the corresponding appendage of the beast. You replace some of your game statistics with those of the beast, as shown in the “Beast Appendage Statistics” table below. You can only have one appendage in beast shape at a time.

While the appendage is in beast shape, the beast takes ¼ of all damage against you, and you take the remaining damage. As a bonus action, you can revert the appendage back to its original form early. The limb automatically reverts if the beast falls to 0 hit points.
Circle Spells
Circle Spells
Quicken Shape
When you expend a use of your Wild Shape feature or use any of your Circle features that take a full action, you can expend 2 Druid hit dice to do so as a bonus action instead of an action.
Maniform
As an action for the duration of your Wild Shape feature, you can expend 1 Druid hit die to transform into a different beast without expending another use of your Wild Shape. You can transform into a different beast while in beast shape or in your normal form. Your beast shape retains any damage accumulated while in any of your beast shapes.
Chimera
When you expend a use of your Wild Shape feature and transform into a beast, or as an action for the rest of the duration while in beast shape, you can expend 3 Druid hit dice to transform one appendage of your current beast into the corresponding appendage of a different beast. Choose one of your arms, your head, your legs, or your torso (a beast with wings or a tail can also choose its wings or tail). The appendage you choose transforms into the corresponding appendage of the beast. You replace some of your current beast’s game statistics with those of the new beast, as shown in the “Beast Appendage Statistics” table.
As a bonus action, you can revert the region or appendage back to its former beast shape early.
