Base Class: Rogue
The Marksman, a rogue subclass known for their unparalleled precision and deadly accuracy, is the embodiment of a master archer or sharpshooter. These skilled tacticians blend stealth and distance to control the battlefield, striking fear into the hearts of their enemies from shadows unseen. Marksman rogues excel in using ranged weaponsthat can incapacitate, disorient, or lethally wound their targets.
Archery
You gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls you make with ranged weapons.
Tools Of The Trade
You gain proficiency with all simple and martial ranged weapons in addition all ranged weapon ranges are doubled for you.
Sniper’s Superiority
Superiority Shoot. You learn three Superiority Shoots which are "Tactical Assassment", "Menacing Attack" and one of your choice, which are detailed under "Superiority Shoots". Many Superiority Shoots enhance an attack in some way. You can use only one maneuver per attack.
You learn one additional Superiority Shoot of your choice at 9th, 13th, and 17th levels.
Sniper's Superiority Dice. The number of Sniper's Superiority dice you have equals your proficiency bonus. These dice are d6s. A Sniper's Superiority die is expended when you use it. You regain all of your expended Sniper's Superiority dice when you finish a short or long rest.
Saving Throws. Some of your Superiority Shoots require your target to make a saving throw to resist the maneuver’s effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:
Maneuver save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Int modifier.
Ambush
When you make a Dexterity (Stealth) check or an initiative roll, you can expend one superiority die and add the die to the roll, provided you aren’t incapacitated.
Disarming Attack
When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to attempt to disarm the target, forcing it to drop one item of your choice that it’s holding. You add the superiority die to the attack’s damage roll, and the target must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, it drops the object you choose. The object lands at its feet.
Goading Attack
When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to attempt to goad the target into attacking you. You add the superiority die to the attack’s damage roll, and the target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target has disadvantage on all attack rolls against targets other than you until the end of your next turn.
Maneuvering Attack
When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to maneuver one of your comrades into a more advantageous position. You add the superiority die to the attack’s damage roll, and you choose a friendly creature who can see or hear you. That creature can use its reaction to move up to half its speed without provoking opportunity attacks from the target of your attack.
Precision Attack
When you make a weapon attack roll against a creature, you can expend one superiority die to add it to the roll. You can use this maneuver before or after making the attack roll, but before any effects of the attack are applied.
Tactical Assessment
When you make an Intelligence (Investigation), an Intelligence (History), or a Wisdom (Insight) check, you can expend one superiority die and add the superiority die to the ability check.
Public Execution
At 9th level, you master the art of turning a decisive kill into a display of dominance, sowing fear into the hearts of your enemies. When you slay an enemy with the Sniper's Superiority "Menacing Attack," you trigger a terrifying spectacle.
Whenever you kill an enemy with "Menacing Attack," every hostile creature within 60 feet of your target that can notice the execution must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature becomes frightened of you until the end of your next turn. While frightened in this way, the creature can only use its action to Dodge or Dash, as panic overrides its ability to fight effectively.
Barrage
At the 13th level you became an adept in the art of ranged combat, you've honed your skills to unleash a rapid succession of shots with unmatched precision. With the "Barrage" feature, you've mastered the ability to exploit the briefest openings in combat to your advantage.
You can use your bonus action to make an additional ranged attack. This attack is so swift and precisely timed that engaging in melee combat does not impose the usual disadvantages on this shot.
Overwatch
At the 17th level your senses have become attuned to your enemy’s movement allowing you to take advantage of moments when they break cover. When an enemy within 60 feet of you that you can see uses 5 feet of their movement speed or more you can use your reaction to make a single ranged attack targeting that enemy.
