Druid
Base Class: Druid

Druids of Circle of the Eternal Flame are shamans deeply rooted in ancient traditions that venerate fire and the spirit world. Raised within shamanic communities, they cultivate a profound connection with the eternal flame, symbolizing both purity and renewal. Through daily rituals involving dance and song, they bridge the gap between the material realm and the ethereal planes, channeling the fiery energies of the spirit world. Their beliefs emphasize fire not only as a purifying force but also as a catalyst for growth and transformation. As guardians of balance, they wield flames to protect and cleanse, seeking harmony between the physical and spiritual realms. Through communion with elemental beings, they draw upon their assistance in times of need, understanding the delicate balance required to wield such powers responsibly.

Circle Spells

Your connections with the elemental plane of fire and the spirit realm grant you access to cast certain spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Circle of the Eternal Flame Spells table.

Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Circle of the Eternal Flame Spells

Druid Level Spells
2nd burning hands, cure wounds, control flames
3rd flaming sphere, scorching ray
5th daylight, fireball
7th fire shield, wall of fire
9th flame strike, conjure elemental

Living Flame

With this feature, you can cast the Control Flames cantrip as a bonus action, exerting your will over any fire within range, whether mundane or magical. This manipulation allows you to expand, shrink, alter the color or shape, or even extinguish flames at your command.

Furthermore, when a creature takes fire damage from a spell cast by you on your turn, as a bonus action, you can use your Control Flames cantrip to cause the flames to leap from the original target to a new one. By doing so, you can choose another creature within 45 feet, dealing the same amount of fire damage from the original spell once more.

Additionally, fire damage you deal ignores resistance.

This feature can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and is refreshed after every short rest.

Unadulterated Flame

You gain resistance to fire damage, allowing you to withstand the searing heat of flames with greater fortitude.

Additionally, once per turn, when you deal fire damage to a creature, you can trigger a burst of flames around the target. Each creature within 5 feet of the original target must make a Dexterity saving throw. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency modifier. On a failed save, a creature takes additional fire damage equal to your druid level. This burst of flame represents the unadulterated power of your fire, spreading its wrath to nearby enemies with explosive force.

Spiritual Pyre

You can call upon a spirit of fire and manifest it as a protective entity for you and your allies. As a bonus action, you can cast Guardian of Faith without expending a spell slot. However, the guardian manifests as a spectral figure wreathed in flames. Any hostile creatures that start their turn within 10 feet of the guardian take fire damage equal to your charisma modifier. This guardian lasts for 1 minute, after which it vanishes in a burst of flames, dealing fire damage equal to your charisma modifier. The guardian can also be dismissed as a bonus action. Furthermore, the damage from Guardian of Faith is converted to fire damage.

This ability can be used once per short rest.

Vessel of the Eternal Flame

You become a vessel for the boundless power of the eternal flame, transforming into an avatar of blazing destruction. As an action, you can become the Vessel of the Eternal Flame, gaining immunity to fire damage for 1 minute. Additionally, your spells and abilities that deal fire damage deal maximum damage while this feature is active.

While in this state, you can also cast the Immolation spell once without expending a spell slot.

Furthermore, you emit an aura of intense heat and light in a 30-foot radius centered on yourself. Any creature that starts its turn within the aura must make a Constitution saving throw of 9 + your charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus, taking fire damage equal to your Charisma modifier on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

This feature can only be used a single time every long rest.

In this state, you embody the unbridled fury of the eternal flame, becoming impervious to the searing heat that consumes your foes and unleashing the full force of fire's destructive power upon them. Use this power wisely.

Appeasement

A hidden, non-functional feature to appease the dndbeyond gods requiring a 3rd level feature for druids, even though they don't have them.
