Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

No ancient blood flows through your veins. No strange or fantastical magic bathed you in power as a child. You are nothing. You are no shining beacon of mystical conflux or aura of powerful radiance. You are darkness. The absence of color. you are Voidborn.

Voidborn are few and far between within the multiverse. Born of some strange absence that the multiverse attempted to unsuccessfully fill, Voidborn live outside the control of gods and monsters and the threads of fate. Able to disappear into the background and force those around them to forget their very presence, Voidborn exist outside the natural order, and as such they are feared by even the most powerful of deities.

And rightly so. For how can one destroy a threat, when they don't even know the threat exists?

Null Magic

1st-level Voidborn feature

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Null Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be a illusion or an conjuration spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list.

Beyond Notice

1st-level  Voidborn feature

You are outside the realm of fate and beyond the power of destiny, and as such those around you only notice you when you desire it. As an action you can project an aura of nonexistence around you in a 120 ft. sphere for 1 minute. Anyone you chose within that sphere instantly forgets what you look like and their interactions with you for a number of days equal to 5 times your Sorcerer level, after which time they can make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC to recollect information about you. If you interact with anyone under these effects again before the duration of these effects expire they instantly regain all memories of you that were previously suppressed.

Once you have used this ability you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Voidspace

6th-level Voidborn feature

Your connection to the nonexistent spaces found throughout the multiverse has deepened, and you can now use them to your benefit. As an action, you can transport yourself and up to 8 other creatures within 5 ft. of you to an extradimensional space between dimensions. This space is a 60 ft circle with a domed roof. The ground and ceiling are both pitchback and dotted with what appear to be stars, but which are actually the countless universes of the multiverse. You may spend up to 1 hour in this space, and if you stay the full hour you are granted the benefits of a short rest. When this effect ends, you return to the space you were when you entered the extradimensional space, or the closest unoccupied space. Only 1 minute will have passed in your original space, regardless of how long you spent in the voidspace.

Once you have used this feature, you cannot do so again until you have completed a long rest.

Uncaring Universe

14th-level Voidborn feature

Your powers have grown such that you can mold yourself in the image of total non-existence, rendering even the fundamental forces of reality indifferent to your presence. As a bonus action, you can spend 1 or more sorcery points to magically transform your body for 10 minutes. For each sorcery point you spend, you can gain one of the following benefits of your choice, the effects of which last until the transformation ends:

  • Light seems to dim around you and the eyes of passers by will slip past without ever registering your presence. For the next 10 minutes you have advantage on all stealth checks and cannot be detected by magical means.
  • You will yourself so far beyond anyone's notice that even gravity forgets that you exist. For the duration of the transformation you gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed and can hover.
  • You become intangible as you allow the physical barriers that impede most to pass you by unnoticed. You become resistant to nonmagical piercing bludgeoning and slashing damage and can move through solid objects as if they were difficult terrain. If this effect ends while you are inside a solid object, you are shunted out to the nearest unoccupied space and take 1d10 force damage for every 5 ft. you move until you make it to an unoccupied space.
  • You are able to conceal yourself even from life's only inevitability. the first time you drop to 0 hit points during the duration of the transformation, Death passes you by, and you instantly regain 1 hit point. for the remainder of the transformation you have advantage on death saving throws.

Concentrated Erasure

18th-level Voidborn feature

You have reached the height of your power as a Voidborn, and have gained the ability to weaponize the truest essence of nonexistence to use against your enemies. As an action you can attempt to erase an ability score, special trait, or action from one target within 30 ft. of you. Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you spend 10 sorcery points to use it again.

  • If you chose to erase an ability modifier, you may chose any of the 6 core statistics, Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma. Your target must make a saving throw using the chosen ability score against your spell save DC. On a failure, the chosen ability score is reduced to 0. The target may repeat the saving throw again after 30 days have passed.
  • If you choose to erase a special trait, the DM assigns each of the creatures special traits from the monster stat block (i.e. regeneration, magic resistance, devil's sight, legendary resistance, etc.) a number, and has you roll a dice with the closest corresponding amount of numbers. The creature must then succeed a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or have the selected trait erased from existence. The creature can repeat the saving throw again every 30 days.
  • If you choose to erase an action, roll a d3. On a 1 you erase an action (i.e. a weapon attack), on a 2 you erase a bonus action (i.e. a teleport), and on a 3 you erase a reaction (i.e. attack of opportunity). Once you determine what kind of action you are erasing, you may chose to erase any one of those actions the creature has access to. If the target does not have an action, bonus action, or reaction to erase, you simply erase one of the actions that they do have. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw to resist this effect. If they fail the saving throw, they may reroll it after 30 days have passed.
