Base Class: Rogue
This subclass can only be picked by characters of small size.
Some people on the small side have been known to be pushed around due to their size. They've had to learn their way around a fight to make sure they don't get bullied as they have been. They hone their ability to use their size and small stature to take out those larger than themselves. Considering many things are larger than them, this becomes useful even out into the wider world. Who says size doesn't matter?
Never fear! Gnomes are here!
"Always aim for their ankles! They hate when you do that!" ~ Gnomeregard
This skill only applies against creatures of medium or large size. Climbing a creature requires half movement. While attempting to grapple a creature you are mounted on, size difference does not impose disadvantage. The mounted creature has half movement speed while you remain mounted on it.
Hidey!: When passing through a space occupied by a creature, you may use your reaction to make a melee attack on that creature.
Ho!: When mounted on a creature, you can use your action to attempt to grapple it. If you are successful you can expend the creature's next turn to move it in any direction . On a fail the creature moves and acts normally, but you remain mounted and any attacks against you made by the creature are at disadvantage.
Timber!
"This will take you down a size!" ~ A brave gnome on the face of dragon
Upon reaching 9th level, you gain additional abilities for your feature actions Hidey! and Ho!
When using your Hidey! feature action, you can use your action to push your target knocking it prone. The other creature must make an acrobatics save against your athletics. Your use of Hidey! imposes disadvantage on the creature's roll.
When you are using your Ho! feature action and moving a target against its will, you may move it into a nearby object or creature. Upon crashing into an object, the creature is knocked prone.
If you crash it into another creature, the creature you are mounted on is knocked prone. The other creature must make an acrobatics save against the mounted creature's athletics. On a success, the second creature does not fall prone but both creatures take damage equal to half your sneak attack damage as Bludgeoning damage. On a fail, the creature is knocked prone and both take full damage.
Pick on someone your own size!
"I've got you for three minutes!" ~ Gnomey Savage
Upon reaching 13th level, if a creature is prone, you can apply your sneak attack damage to an attack on the target.
Additionally, if the creature is prone and you have used the feature action Hidey! or Ho! on the target this combat, you can gain an extra attack against the target for each used. Each feature action can only apply for this once before using this action. After using this feature, you can reapply Hidey! and Ho! for more extra attacks on the same target.
Gnomeblitorate!
"I told you! Don't call me small!" ~ A very angry gnome.
Upon reaching 17th level, your first attack on a target that is prone is always a critical hit.
Additionally, every time you perform an attack using an action or an extra attack feature (but not a bonus action or reaction), lower the roll needed to land a critical hit by 1. When you land a critical it, the roll needed to land a critical hit becomes 20 again (excluding other effects) and this effect continues as normal.
