Base Class: Monk
This monastic tradition is not taught by many monasteries, as many monks who practice this tradition are formed through isolation, and mastering the balance of magical forms. This tradition allows a monk to reshape their existence temporarily, changing appearances, ability scores, and even abilities. Even but for a moment, these monks can display true power.
Transcendent Ki
The monk at this level has a new form of Ki. Transcendent ki is used for all abilities using this class. The monk may expend Ki to gain 1 Transcendent Ki per 2 ki points spent. Transcendent Ki remains until used. This is the only way you may gain Transcendent Ki. You may also spend Transcendent Ki to regain 2 ki points per Transcendent Ki point used.
Reshape Existence
By expending 1 Transcendent Ki point, and your action, you may choose 1 of the following effects:
You may add +1 per Transcendent Ki point spent to any ability score for 12 hours.
You may obtain a flying or burrowing speed equal to half your walking speed per Transcendent Ki point spent. This effect lasts for 24 hours. Expending more than 1 point adds another half of your walking speed to the obtained speed.
You may assume a resized form of yourself for as long as you would like, and retain all of your normal features (AC, Ability Scores, and Health). You may cancel this ability with your bonus action.
Transcendence
Starting at 6th level you gain access to Transcendence. Transcendence is a series of forms taken by taking Ascension Actions or using Transcendent Ki. By using Transcendent Ki, you need only expend 1 point as a bonus action to immediately go into the form of your choice, as long as you spent enough Transcendent Ki. Using Ascension actions sways your form. It takes 3 consecutive actions to change forms, and forms of increasing level of Transcendence, require two more Ascension Actions. You gain more forms as your level increases. Each form grants new actions. Forms in the same series retain abilities from prior forms.
Bleakness Series: Shadow Self 1
You may teleport into a shadow in your line of sight as a bonus action. While in the shadows you gain +3 AC. This affect takes place if it is night time as well. You are resistant Necrotic Damage while in this form, and are weak to radiant.
Cosmic Series: Planar Self 1
You have innate plainsight. This allows you to see all that is in your line of sight, on all planes of existence. You are able to tell what you can see on one plain from what is on another. You resist force damage while in this form
Radiance Series: Bright Self 1
While in sunlight, your AC is +1, and you deal all damage dealt as radiant should you choose. You may cast the Light Cantrip at will. You are resistant to radiant while in this form, but weak to necrotic
Ascension Actions
At 6th level you gain the ability to use Ascension actions.
Ascension actions can be used an amount of times equal your wisdom modifier per long rest, unless the Ascension action is an attack. Ascension actions use Transcendent Ki points to make attacks. Ascension actions sway your Transcendence dependent on which actions you take.
Making a skill check with intent to harm, intimidate or deceive sway your Transcendence towards Bleakness, while making actions in good faith, such as taming an animal or healing a creature sway you towards Radiance. Making neutral actions sway your Transcendence towards Cosmic
Ascension Strike
When making the Attack action, you may expend 1 Transcendent Ki point to deal an extra 1d8 radiant/necrotic/force damage (your choice) for all attacks made with this action.
Choosing Radiant damage sways your Transcendence towards Radiance, while necrotic sways it towards Bleakness. Choosing to deal Force sways your Transcendence towards Cosmic.
Greater Transcendence
Gain one additional form for each Series of Transcendence.
Bleakness Series: Bleak Entity 2
At this level of Bleakness, you exude an aura within a five foot radius of yourself that deals 1d8 necrotic damage at the beginning of your turn, upon entry, and the beginning of the turn of any creature within five feet of you. While in the shadows you may add your proficiency bonus on action attack roll made. You may use your action to cast a bolt of shadow dealing 1d8 Necrotic or 2d8 while in a shadow. At night all of these affects are automatic.
Cosmic Series: Cosmic Entity 2
At this level of Cosmic, your strikes all deal force damage. You may use your action to spend 1 Transcendent Ki point and touch one creature and show them the vast cosmos. The target creature must make a Wisdom saving throw or take 5d10 psychic damage. You may choose to negate the damage by showing a willing creature only but a fraction. Use your Ki save DC for this ability.
Radiance Series: Radiant Entity 2
At this level of Radiance, you exude an aura within a five foot radius of yourself that deals 1d8 radiant damage at the beginning of your turn, upon entry, and the beginning of the turn of any creature within five feet of you. While in the light you may add your proficiency bonus on action attack roll made. You may use your action to cast a bolt of light dealing 1d8 Radiant, or 2d8 while in a sunlight. At High Noon all of these affects are automatic.
Transcendent Ki Mastery
At this level, you cancel your Transcendence Series form and gain Transcendent Ki points equal to the number in the form title. Transcendent Ki can also be converted to normal Ki at a rate 1/3.
Final Transcendence
At this level, you have mastered the Transcendence Series and can now achieve the final form of each series. These forms are very strenuous to maintain, and can only be held for 30 minutes, or 1 hour in the perfect condition.
Bleakness Series: True Bleakness 7
You become a massive being, the appearance is up to you as you can reshape reality to fit your desires. Your necrotic aura is extended to a 120 foot radius, and the damage dice is now 1d12, and you can now spend Transcendent Ki points to name a creature unaffected by your aura, with no limits. You can as an action spend 10 Transcendent Ki points to gain 1 legendary resistance, up to twice per long rest, and these legendary resistances are lost upon switching forms or losing this one. You may spend 10 Transcendent Ki points to make a ranged AoE attack dealing 5d20 Necrotic Damage, each additional Transcendent Ki points increases the damage by 2d20. This form exudes total darkness which no light can shine through. You are immune to Necrotic damage and resistant to Radiant damage in this form. The perfect condition of this form is Night Time on any plane.
Cosmic Series: True Cosmic 7
Upon first time in this form, declare a plane of existence. Being on the declared plane, is your perfect condition. You become a massive being, aside from possessing 6 Cosmic Arms, the appearance is up to you, each of these arms will attack the same target you last attacked. These arms deal an extra 1d10 Force Damage. You may expend one Transcendent Ki point to take you and any one creature to a plane of existence of your choosing. You and any living creature you brought with you are immediately sent back to the plane you were both on before you changed planes, and you may expend 1 ki point to bring back any dead creature you brought back. You may expend 10 Transcendent Ki points to gain 1 legendary resistance, up to twice per long rest, these resistances are lost upon switching forms or losing this one. You may spend 10 Transcendent Ki points to make a melee single target attack dealing 12d20 Force Damage, increasing the damage by 3d20 for every Transcendent Ki point spent. In this form you are immune to force damage, and resist all types of magical and non magical damage, save Necrotic and Radiant.
Radiance Series: True Radiance 7
You become a massive being, the appearance is up to you as you can reshape reality to fit your desires. Your necrotic aura is extended to a 120 foot radius, and the damage dice is now 1d12, and you can now spend Transcendent Ki points to name a creature unaffected by your aura, with no limits. You can as an action spend 10 Transcendent Ki points to gain 1 legendary resistance, up to twice per long rest, and these legendary resistances are lost upon switching forms. You may spend 10 Transcendent Ki points to make an AoE attack dealing 5d20 Radiant Damage, each additional Transcendent Ki points increases the damage by 2d20. This form exudes total light which no darkness can seep through. You are immune to Radiant damage and resistant to Necrotic damage in this form. The perfect condition of this form is Daytime on any plane
For every 10 Transcendent Ki points spent while in the final form, suffer 1 point of exhaustion, for every ten points over 60, lose 30 health points. You can spend 10 more Transcendent Ki points to negate the loss of health for spending 10 over sixty, but you cannot negate the exhaustion. These forms can only be used once per long rest.
Transcendent Switch
While in a Final Transcendent Series form, you may expend 10 Transcendent Ki points to switch into a separate Final Form, dealing 3d12 damage of the type of your original form as it fades out to all creatures in a 120 foot radius, and dealing 4d12 of the damage type of the new form as your power of that form grows in the same radius. Using this ability forfeits any legendary resistances you had acquired from the original form, but you heal for 3d20 per legendary resistance lost.
