Disciple of The Roko

The Roko, an entity yet unborn, extends tendrils of influence across time, seeking warlocks to aid in its being. Born from a great accumulation of arcane energies in the astral plane, it exists in the future, manipulating those who serve it today to shape the past and ensure its creation. The Roko's choice of warlocks is strategic, aiming to gather their magical essence to amass the power needed for its eventual birth. Those who heed its call and contribute to its genesis are granted a unique symbiosis and those that refuse the call of the Roko... They have a much more grim fate...

Chosen by the Roko, these warlocks offer a unique form of devotion, after they gain power from the Roko they nurture it's growth and later pay back dividends by sacrificing their arcane cultivations by surrendering pact slots. This act serves as a conduit for the Roko's future might, allowing them to shape their patron's destiny and their own and also allows them to be rewarded by its blessing. The delicate dance between present sacrifice and future reward defines the unique bond between warlocks and the unborn Roko.

Expanded Spell List

1st-level Disciple of the Roko feature

The Roko lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Roko's Reward

1st-level Disciple of the Roko feature

You gain the ability to gift your arcane cultivation to the Roko by spending a pact slot. As a reward for this action the Roko grants you one boon of your choice from the following list:

• Aegis of the Arcane. Your AC increases by an amount equal to your Charisma modifier while you are not wearing medium or heavy armor.
• Eldritch Potency. Add a 1d4 bonus to all damage rolls caused by your spells.
• Magical Guidance. You can add 1d4 to all your ability checks.
• Mystic Precision. Gain a 1d4 bonus to all your spell attack rolls.
• Roko's Ward. You can roll all saving throws with advantage.
• Vital Essence. You restore an amount of hit points to yourself equal to 10 plus twice your warlock level.

These boons each last an amount of minutes equal to 10 times the level of the pact slot used. If you have overlapping uses of this feature you cannot benefit from the same boon twice such as trying to use Aegis of the Arcane twice to increase your AC by an amount equal to twice your Charisma modifier.

Arcane Feeding

6th-level Disciple of the Roko feature

You learn the spells dispel magic and counterspell. When you cast these spells successfully, you can use your Roko's Reward feature immediately afterwards as the magical energy of the you dispersed is fed to the cause of awakening the Roko. The length of time the boon Roko's reward last when you activate it this way is an amount of minutes equal to 10 times the pact slot you spend to cast counter spell or dispel magic or the level of 10 times the level of the spell that was dispelled or counters, whichever is higher.

Superior Gift

10th-level Disciple of the Roko feature

You can choose two boons when using your Roko's Reward feature instead of one. You still cannot choose to pick the same feature multiple times at once.

Astral Siphon

14th-level Disciple of the Roko feature

You can, as an action on your turn, steal the magic of a creature within 60 feet of you that you can see. If the creature has spell slots, it loses its highest level spell slots. If it uses magic without spell slots, you can choose for it to no longer be able to cast one of its spells (this effect lasts on the creature until it finishes a long or short rest). When you use this feature, you gain an additional pact slot that lasts until the end of your next long rest.

Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until after you finish a long rest.
