Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of The Natural Wanderer are best friends with nature itself. They wander through woodland trails and speak to all the birds and trees on a first-name basis. They love fetch quests, because the stakes don't matter to them. They just like being helpful and kept busy.
Take me Home
When you join the College of the Natural Wanderer at 3rd level, you learn to be more in touch with the natural world as well as those who occupy it. While outdoors or in an area with natural fauna, you can ask the natural world to help you figure out: Which way is north. The number of hours left until the next sunrise or sunset. Which path or road will lead you to the closest friendly or neutral city, town, or settlement. The closest body of water large enough to submerge yourself in.
In addition, while you carry a tune outdoors or in an area with natural fauna, you can detect hidden, concealed, or invisible creatures, or creatures on the ethereal plane, provided the natural fauna has a way to detect them. If any of the fauna you can detect can detect a creature in this way, you are alerted to its presence as well.
Friend of The Forest
When you join the College of the Natural Wanderer at 3rd level, you learn to cast Speak With Animals (or another 1st level spell from the Bard spell list if you already knew it). This spell counts as a Bard spell for you but doesn't count against the number of Bard spells you know.
In addition, you may cast this spell without expending a spell slot a number of times per day equal to your proficiency bonus and you regain any spent uses of this feature when you finish a long rest.
Affinity for Nature
At 6th level, your connection to the natural world deepens. You learn 2 spells from the Druid spell list. These spells must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Bard table, or a cantrip. The chosen spells count as Bard spells for you but don't count against the number of Bard spells you know. In addition, Druid spells are added to your spell list and count as Bard spells for you.
Nature's Little Lessons
At 14th level, nature has taught you a lot about how the world works. As a reaction, you may roll 1d6 and add this score to an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw of a creature you can see within 60' of yourself, or yourself. You may do this after the roll, but before the DM determines if the roll is a success or a failure. This counts as bardic inspiration, but you do not need to expend a use of your bardic inspiration to use this feature.
