Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of Freedom sing songs and tell tales of great escapes of oppression. Bards that walk this path often seek out peoples that are under the thumb of some power and giving them the inspiration they need to break their chains. Being a part of many revolutions, these Bards tend to be more battle-ready than most.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Freedom at 3rd level, You gain proficiency with medium armor and your instrument can act as your spellcasting focus for Bard Spells.
Victory Cry
Beginning at 3rd level, When an ally you can see or yourself eliminates an enemy, you can use your reaction and a bardic inspiration dice to grant temporary HP equal to the max of your current inspiration dice to a number of people you can see within 60 ft equal to your charisma modifier (minimum 1). Your targets must be able to see and hear you. You can select yourself to receive this temporary HP.
Free Spirit
Beginning at 6th level, Your tales and songs can inspire your allies to resist mind-altering magics.
Whenever you or an ally who can hear you within 60ft makes a saving throw against an effect that would charm or frighten them, you can use your reaction to expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration, rolling the die and adding it to their save.
If the effect targets more than one of your allies, you may expend another of your remaining uses of Bardic Inspiration in this way using the same reaction for each ally.
Extra Attack
Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Freedom's Ballad
Beginning at 10th level, You can start singing an epic ballad that helps your allies to escape all but the most dire situations. As an action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration, granting a number of creatures equal to your charisma modifier (minimum 1), excluding yourself, within 60 ft of you that can hear you a number of temporary hit points equal to twice the number rolled on the die for one minute. For the same duration, the target’s speed increases by 20 ft, it has advantage on ability checks made to escape being grappled or restrained and opportunity attacks against the target are made at disadvantage. This effect lasts for 1 minute or until you are silenced, stop playing voluntarily (no action required), or are rendered unconscious.
While performing the ballad, you may only move and use 1 action or 1 bonus action on your turn.
