Base Class: Warlock
Within the lifespan of a Steel Dragon who lives multiple humanoid lives, they may come across a mortal that is so important to them that they entrust that mortal with their true identity of being a steel dragon. The steel dragon will perform a ritual with their chosen partner to eternally link their souls together. This bond grants the humanoid person powers linked to the dragon. The lifespan of the person becomes linked to the dragon as they become a source of knowledge for each "new life" new life of the steel dragon. And when a Steel Dragon is nearing the time to undergo the Reflection, or true death, the soul-bonded will be tasked with spreading the dragon's horde, their composition, to all parts of the world to be shared without bias.
Soul-Bonded
Starting at 1st level, your bond with the Steel Dragon will cause your aging to slow, granting you a lifespan equal to that of your patron. Should your steel dragon patron die or begin their ritual of reflection, your aging will return to a normal pace. Whenever your patron begins a new identity’s life, you will fall into a 1 hour period of unresponsiveness. During this time, the steel dragon will look through your mind to gain knowledge of current events, as well as transmit knowledge of their new form and name. The soul-bonded and the Steel Dragon can speak to each other telepathically at will, provided they are on the same plane of existence.
Morph Shape
Starting at 1st level, whenever you use the spell "Disguise Self" instead of making an image over yourself, your body takes the shape of that image. If that shape has wings you still cannot fly. If that shape has claws or fangs they are a weapon with finesse and 1d6 damage. None of your statistics change while in another form. Basic divination spells and similar basic spells or tests will fail to discover whether or not you are in your original form.
Key to the Vault
Starting at level 6, once per rest you may expend a spell slot of at least level 2 in order to access your soul-bonded dragon’s "Memory Vault" and look to their many lives for guidance. For one hour you gain a +3 Wisdom modifier.
Aura of Influence
Starting at level 10, once per short or long rest you can expend a spell slot of at least level 3 to create an Aura of Manifestation, an Aura of Obscurement, or an Aura of Emotion.
Aura of Emotion
You and your allies gain Temp HP equal to your level + your CHA modifier until your next long rest
Aura of Manifestation
The aura of manifestation creates a presence that imbues those around it an effect of importance, giving you advantage on persuasion and intimidation rolls against creatures that can understand you for 10 minutes.
Aura of Obscurement
For 1 Minute, you gain the ability to Disengage as a Bonus Action
Draconic Guise
Starting at level 14, as an Action you can take the form of an adult steel dragon. Your stats do not change, however. For the ability’s duration, you gain a flight speed of 60 feet. You gain 50 temp HP. You gain the multi-attack trait that consists of one bite and two claw attacks. Your claw attacks deal 2d6 slashing damage; your bite attack that deals 2d10 piercing damage; you gain a tail attack that deals 2d8 bludgeoning damage and has a range of 15 ft; once per long rest, you can unleash 60 ft cone acid breath. This breath attack deals 10d8 acid damage on a failed Dex save vs. your spell casting DC, half as much on a success. Claws, bite and tail attacks are counted as finesse and magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance to non-magical damage. This form lasts for one hour or until your hp drops to 0. You can use this ability once per long rest.
