Base Class: Monk
Studying the energies of the world through the flow of nature, these monks spend much of their time in isolation, meditating atop the tallest mountains and wandering the deepest forests.
Natural Understanding
Starting when you take this subclass at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Nature and Survival skills. If you are already proficient in these skills, or later gain proficiency, you instead gain expertise in the skill.
Earthen Blow
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn how to add extra momentum to your unarmed strikes and monk weapon attacks. Whenever you spend a ki point, your next successful unarmed strike or monk weapon attack slams your enemy, forcing them to succeed a strength saving throw or be knocked 10ft in a direction of your choosing.
Ocean's Depths
At 6th level, you gain the ability to heal yourself. As a bonus action, you can regain hit points equal to three times your monk level. You must finish a short rest before you can use this feature again.
Wind's Dance
Starting at 11th level, you gain the following benefits:
- Your Step of the Wind action now costs 0 ki, and acts as both a Dash and Disengage action simultaneously.
- You may now spend up to 5 ki points when activating Patient Defense, and your AC will increase by 2 + 1 per ki point spent until the start of your next turn.
- When you use Flurry of Blows, you may add your Wisdom Modifier to either the attack rolls or damage rolls of all of your unarmed strikes or monk weapon attacks until the end of your turn.
Breath of Life
At 17th level, you embrace the full power of the natural cycle of life and death. When you fall to 0 hit points, you instead regain half your hit points and half of your ki points, and force all enemies within 10 ft of you to make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target is thrown 20ft back and takes 10d6 force damage. On a successful save, the target is moved 10 ft and takes half damage.
This effect can occur once per long rest.
