Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Eden is a study of monster taming. No creature is safe before this college and it is for this reason that this college is regulated and has been trimmed to near extinction on several occasions. The ability to tame monsters is widely revered but not necessarily feared. The regulation is due to a large stigma around the College of Eden producing generations of slavers. While this has been true in the past, most bards who learn from this college simply yearn to find the fabled Garden of Eden. A paradise where all creatures live in harmony without any bloodshed or strife.

Eden's chain

Starting at 3rd level when you choose this college you are able to play an ancient cord that ensnares the minds and hearts of your target. As an action, you can choose a single creature within 30 feet that is considered bloodied and can hear you, make a performance check against DC 10 + the creature's CR. On a success, the creature is tamed and is now friendly towards the tamer. A tamed creature functions as a familiar and shares your initiative and you can give them basic commands using a bonus action. If a tamed creature is not given a command, it will take the help action instead.

You can keep a total of 5 monsters however the total CR of your tamed creatures may not exceed your level in this class. Example: A Level 3 College of Eden bard can have 1 CR 3 monster, or 3 CR 1 monsters, or 5 CR 0.5 monsters. If a creature's CR exceeds your level or you already own the maximum creatures allowed for your level, you fail to tame the creature.

Using an action you can release a tamed monster, however a released monster will no longer be friendly towards the tamer and depending on its alignment a Monster might even become hostile.

Primal Cord

Starting at 3rd level you can tap into the knowledge of Eden to play music that bolsters even the most ferral of your tamed creatures. When you use a bardic die on one of your tamed creatures, for the duration that creature can add your Charisma modifier to their damage rolls. This bonus ends when they use the dice or when the dice expires.

The Pseudo Garden

Starting at 6th level you have grown closer to the true garden by obtaining the authority over a pseudo garden. The Pseudo Garden is a pocket realm that functions as a storage for your tamed creatures effectively allowing you to tame more monsters but you are still limited to having 5 creatures outside of the garden at a time all of which having a total CR equal to or lower than your level in this class. The Garden has all the nutrients and space required to keep your creatures safe and alive while you continue to travel. Only your tamed creatures can enter or leave this realm, a tamer cannot enter the garden but has the ability to store or recall a tamed creature within. During a short rest you can store or retrieve a stored creature or store one of your current creatures in the Garden.

Additionally you may now give a command to all of your current tamed creatures using a single bonus action.

Eden's Fruit

Starting at 14th level, your Pseudo Garden has grown closer to the true Garden of Eden granting you the ability to obtain Eden's fruits. An Eden's Fruit is a gem that grows within the garden of Eden that allows a creature to evolve into a higher form of itself. To obtain a Eden's fruit you must complete a 4 hour ritual, using an untamed creature and a gem worth 300gp as material components to summon the Eden's fruit. The materials are destroyed during the casting and the Eden's Fruit will have a creature type depending on the type of creature used as material e.g. a goblin would create a goblinoid Eden's fruit. You can feed an Eden's Fruit to a creature with the same creature type, which will then evolve the creature to a creature that the DM deems appropriate for that creature to evolve into e.g. a Goblin evolves into a Hobgoblin and a Hobgoblin into a Bugbear. A DM can also rule that certain creatures do not evolve e.g. a drow does not evolve into a drider nor does a drow evolve into a drow mage. A creature can also not evolve into a creature with a CR higher than the your level in this class.

If the evolution is successful, the Eden's fruit is destroyed and another will need to be made, if the DM rules that a creature fails to evolve, the Eden's fruit simply does not react and can be used again on a seperate creature until the Eden's fruit is used successfully.
