Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Way of Focus is a path taken by those whos sight has been lost, or given up. Growing attuned to ones body, and understanding its limits, and the limitations of others, is what brings power and lethality to this warrior.

Anticipation

Through a combination of your senses, your ability to track and anticipate movements is unperilled. All unarmed strikes you make gain advantage if they are targeting a creature you are familiar with. Familiarity with creatures can be discussed with the DM, but as a rule of thumb, unfamiliar creatures are only creatures you have not encountered or spent an insignificant amount of time with, as to not be used to how they move.

Matured Senses

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your body acclimates to its lack of sight and gains 40ft of blindsight. You can sense creatures within this 40 feet as if you could see them, and creatures have disadvantage on stealth checks to avoid your sense. Additionally you gain advantage on perception checks based upon hearing.

Debilitating Strike

At 6th level, you gain the ability to disable your opponents. When fighting an enemy, once you land a furry of blows, you can spend 2 ki points roll a medicine check to understand their anatomy. The DM determines the DC based upon size, familiarity, and lineage. Once you succeed, you gain the following benefits until the creature is dead.

  • Each turn, your first unarmed attack gains advantage on the target.
  • If you land two unarmed strikes in one turn, you strike a pressure point, resulting in your choice of the following.
    • The target loses grip in one hand and drops an item being held by it.
    • The targets movement speed is reduced to 0 until the end of its next turn.
    • The target has gains disadvantage on attacks till the end of its next turn.

Reverberating Comprehension

By pounding your fist on a surface or the ground, you cause vibrations to travel outward, this can help you find your way through mazes, or the shortest unobstructed paths through the woods, or even understanding how a lock works. You gain advantage on slight of hand (lockpicking) and survival (pathing) checks.
