Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bard's in the College of the Gambler specialize in the art of the game and the manipulating of chance. They are often found in taverns or gambling houses playing games and soliciting money from their fellow players, or victims depending on your viewpoint. Members of this college have taken their ability to manipulate the weave and use it to turn the tables of chance and luck. A great ally to have by your side but pray you aren't unlucky enough to find yourself at the same card table as one.

Tools of the Trade

You gain proficiency in three different gaming sets. Choose one gaming set you're proficient in and gain expertise in it.

Gambler's Tricks

At 3rd level you gain the ability to manipulate the weave to your favor and activate different tricks to aide yourself or hinder your enemies. Choose 2 of these tricks at 3rd level and then one additional one at both 6th and 14th level. You can consume one of your bardic inspiration to apply one of the tricks listed below.

No more than one trick can be active at a time.

Beginner's Luck

If you were to make an ability check with a skill you are not proficient in, you can gain advantage on that roll. However, you have disadvantage on all future checks made using that skill until you finish a long rest.

Bluff

As an action, you can make a deception check against an enemies insight check and if you win then that enemy has disadvantage on attack rolls against you and you have advantage on attacks against them for the duration of a minute.

Double or Nothing

When making an attack roll, choose odds or evens. If the number rolled on the die lands on what you chose, double the amount of weapon damage dice rolled. Otherwise, the attack misses and the damage is prevented.

Easy Money

Whenever you roll a Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) or an ability check to use a gaming set, you may expend a bardic inspiration and add the number to your roll.

Even the Odds

Whenever another creature within 60 feet of you makes an attack roll, you may expend a bardic inspiration and add or subtract it to the number rolled as a reaction.

Hot Streak

When you score a critical hit, you may make an additional attack as a part of the same action immediately after rolling damage. If the additional attack is another critical hit, repeat this process.

Shared Luck

When you score a critical hit, choose an ally within 60 feet of you. That ally gains advantage on their next saving throw, ability check, or attack roll.

Poker Face

At 6th level your experience with gaming is unmatched and you have learned how to read others intentions while hiding your own. You gain proficiency in deception and insight. If you already have proficiency with either or both skills, you instead gain expertise in those skills.

Gambling with Fate

At 14th level chance and luck are your specialty. You gain the Lucky Number trick.

Lucky Number

At 14th level, after a long rest you can choose a number on a d20 other than 1. Your weapon attacks and saving throws automatically succeed on that number while your ability checks are treated as a 20 on that number.
