Base Class: Fighter
The year is 20XX, and sentient humanoid robots have integrated into society. Through incredible technological advancements at the hands of the scientist Dr. Light, impressively powerful warriors known as Robot Masters have come to being. Certain types of robots even have become powerful enough to copy the abilities of other Robot Masters. As one of these elite robots, you gain the ability to replicate your opponent's abilities after a battle.
Mega Buster
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain the ability to change one or both of your forearms into arm cannons, known as the Mega Busters. Changing your arms requires no action, and you gain the following benefits:
- Your unarmed strikes now deal 1d6 + STR force damage. This damage increases to 1d8 at 6th level, 1d10 at 10th level, and 1d12 at 15th level.
- You can use a bonus action to make an additional buster attack.
- You gain the ability to charge your buster strikes. By forgoing a bonus action and reaction, you can make an attack that deals 2d12 force damage to the direct target and 1d10 fire damage to all creatures within 10 feet of the target. This damage increases to 3d12 and 2d10 at 6th level, and 4d12 and 3d10 at 15th level.
- While one or more arms are in their cannon formation, you gain an additional +1 to your armor class.
Animal Sidekick
Also at 3rd level, you gain an animal-robot hybrid pet. This pet can assist in battle, and can be any animal up to the DM's discretion.
Energy Absorption
Starting at 7th level, every time you defeat an enemy you can choose one damage type the enemy attacks with, and deal an additional 1d4 + CON damage of that type on top of your Mega Buster attack.
Speed and Power Gears
At 10th level, after much experimenting, you have now been implemented with the work in progress Speed and Power gears. Twice per long rest, you can use either the Speed or Power gear by forgoing your bonus action for that turn.
- Speed Gear: Your movement speed increases by 30, you cannot be hit by opportunity attacks, and you gain an additional action on your turn.
- Power Gear: You gain a +2 to armor class until your next turn, and your Mega Buster shots deal an additional 2d10 damage.
After using both charges, you cannot use this ability until you complete a long rest.
Attack Replication
Starting at 15th level, you've mastered your energy absorption to the point where you can replicate entire attacks from enemies.
You may choose 2 attacks from an enemy that you've fought in the past and integrate them into your Mega Buster. These attacks can be swapped out for new ones after you defeat an enemy. After you swap an attack, you must defeat that enemy again to regain that attack. Your Mega Buster gains 2 charges, which can be used to make those attacks as an action. After that, you must take a rest to refill your charges. You gain additional charges as you master this technique, gaining 1 additional charge at level 17 and a second at 19.
Note that the attacks you may be allowed to choose from depend on the DM, as some attacks may be considered too powerful or nonsensical for your character.
Super Armor
After much work, at 18th level, you have improved your natural Robot Master armor and it has become Super Armor. You gain the following benefits:
- You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
- You gain a +1 to Armor Class.
- You gain a +2 to your Dexterity Score, to a maximum of 30.
