Base Class: Bard

After years of training in dance and song, minutes, hours, years have added up to the path you wish to now pursue. Using your charismatic wit and a dancer’s dexterity to skirt around crowds to one-on-one dance, you gain the skills necessary to survive not only on the dance floor but on the floor of combat.

Freestyle Master

At 3rd level, when you help someone make an acrobatics or performance check, they may add your bardic Inspiration dice to the roll although you don’t lose any.
Additionally, you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain a climb speed equal to your walk speed. 
  • You can get up from prone with 5 feet of movement.
  • When you fall from a distance and take damage, you can use your reaction or bonus action to spend a bardic inspiration dice and halve it.

 

Songseeker

At 3rd level, you start mastering rhythm and its practices.

  • You can use Dexterity instead of Strength for the attack rolls of your Unarmed Strikes, and when you deal damage with an Unarmed Strike, you can deal Bludgeoning damage equal to a roll of your Bardic Inspiration die plus your Dexterity modifier. This roll doesn’t expend the die.
  • You gain an armor class of 10 + dexterity + charisma given you aren’t wearing a shield, wielding a two handed weapon, or wearing armor.
  • If you spend a bardic inspiration dice as a bonus action, you may make unarmed strikes equal to your half your proficiency rounded up.

Lyrical Strikes

At 6th level, you can incorporate magical song into your strikes. As a bonus action, spend 2 bardic inspiration dice or a 2nd level spell slot for the following effects.

  • When you take the attack option or cast a cantrip, you may make an additional unarmed strike.
  • You can add your proficiency to your AC.
  • You can dash or disengage as a bonus action.

 This effect ends early if dismissed or if you fall unconscious but otherwise this effect lasts 10 minutes. 

Dance Routine

At 6th level, you can adopt a dance technique over a long rest by practicing, stretching and memorizing it during that time. In other words, you may switch out this dance session after a long rest.

This dance routine gives you a bonus to one skill check designated by the dance routine and the ability to reroll one of two save types.

Breakdance Training

The tiring practice of Breakdancing has honed your body and gives the following benefits.

  • You may add 1d6 to all athletic checks.
  • You may reroll a strength or constitution saving throw once a long rest.

Lyrical Movements

You dance to the tune of flowing music, gently along instrumental pieces.
You gain the following benefits:

  • Your attunement to quieter sounds gIves you the ability to add 1d6 to your perception checks
  • You can reroll a failed intelligence or wisdom saving throw once per long rest.

Practiced Recital

Through constant practice and steadfast perseverance, your dedication and wit pays off.

  • You can add 1d6 to History checks.
  • You can reroll a failed intelligence or wisdom saving throw once per long rest.

Instant Coreography

At 14th level, once a long rest, you harmonize the movements of your allies and your whole party falls into a synchronized rhythm.

As long as you are not surprised you can give 6 creatures including you an extra round before initiative begins. This can stack with surprise rounds.

You can also use this ability with two inspiration dice.

You can only use this ability once per combat.

Unshakable Groove

Your deep understanding of the nature of your own movements as allowed you to toy with the feelings of others and add to the benefits of yourself.

You gain the following benefits.

  • Enemies making Charisma saves against you and Charisma saves against the effects of your spells have disadvantage.
  • Your attacks deal extra damage equal to your charisma.
  • When you fail a dexterity saving throw, you only take half damage and take no damage when you succeed.
  • When a creature hits you with an attack, you can spend a bardic inspiration dice and force the creature to roll again and take the lowest of their rolls. (Yes, it works like lucky)
