Base Class: Barbarian
The Path of the Inferno is one of passion and conviction, its warriors hold strong ideals and the wills to see them through. In combat, they become like the flames themselves, moving unfettered and burning all those who stand in their way.
Mantle of Flames
3rd-level Path of the Inferno feature
When you enter your rage, you manifest the Mantle of Flames, which grants you the following benefits:
Rapid Devestation. Your walking speed increases by 20 ft.
Blazing Light. You shed bright light up to 10 ft, and dim light for a further 10 ft.
Raging Flames. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can deal an extra 2d8 fire damage to that creature. This increases by 1d8 when you reach 7th level (3d8), 11th level (4d8), and 17 level (5d8).
Devouring Flames. When a creature would move outside of your melee range, it must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 10 + proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier). On a failed save they take fire damage equal to 1d6 + your Barbarian level, and their movement speed is halved. On a successful save they take half as much damage and suffer no reductions in speed.
Protection of the Blaze
6th-level Path of the Inferno feature
The flames that manifest while you are raging now provide the following additional benefits:
Warmth of the Hearth. You gain resistance to fire damage and cold damage.
Nurturing Flames. As an action, you cause yourself or another creature within 30 ft to regain hitpoints equal to your Barbarian level + Constitution modifier. This feature can only be used once per rage.
Flame Commandment
10th-level Path of the Inferno feature
While you are raging, you can increase the effect of one of the benefits given to you by your Mantle of Flames. You can only use this feature on one effect per turn, and only twice per rage:
Rapid Devestion. At the start of your turn, any effects restricting your movement are removed, and your movement speed doubles during this turn. Additionally, you can make one extra melee weapon attack which, if it hits, can also deal the damage of your Raging Flames, even if this damage has already been dealt this turn.
Blazing Light. At the start of your turn, all creatures of your choice within a 30 ft radius must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 10 + Proficiency bonus + Strength modifier). On a failed save they become blinded until the end of your next turn. On a successful save, all of their attacks are made at disadvantage until the end of your next turn.
Raging Flames. When this feature is triggerred, all creatures of your choice within a 20 ft radius must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 10 + Proficiency bonus + Strength modifier), the creature that triggers this attack makes the saving throw at disadvantage. Creatures that fail the save take 10d6 fire damage, while creatures that succeed take half that damage.
Devouring Flames. When this feature is triggerred, the triggering creature automatically fails the Dexterity saving throw, and is also knocked prone. You can also take an opportunity attack against them without using your reaction.
Warmth of the Hearth. At the start of your turn, you gain immunity to fire and cold damage for the next two rounds. Creatures of your choice within 30 ft also gain resistance to fire and cold damage for the next two rounds.
Nurturing Flames. When this feature is used, the creature you choose instead regains half of its hit points. You can also remove any of the following conditions from the creature: charmed, exhaustion, paralyzed, poisoned, stunned.
Inferno Incarnate
14th-level Path of the Inferno feature
Your flames have fully manifested, granting the following benefits while you are raging:
Fiery Flight. During your turn, you gain a flight speed equal to your walking speed. At the end of your turn, you will fall to the ground unless you have some other means of staying in the air.
Flame Mastery. The number of times you can use an option from your Flame Commandment feature per rage increases to 3.
Heart of the Inferno. Any fire damage you deal ignores fire resistance, and treats immunity to fire damage as if it were fire resistance.
