Way of the Transcendent Eye

Monks of the Way of the Transcendent Eye gain advanced visual abilities and accuracy only spoken of in legends. Few of these monks still exist today, but those that do are regarded with equal parts awe and fear. The Transcendent Eye is only achieved through meditation and delicate control of Ki, being used to synchronize ocular prowess and the mastery of Martial Arts. This Technique focuses Ki into the eyes to reveal the hidden truths of not only the world, but of their enemies as well.

Transcendent Eye

Beginning at 3rd level, your ocular training has given you the ability to be incredibly perceptive allowing you to, as a bonus action, activate your Transcendent Eye.

While activated, you gain the following benefits:
● You gain Darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. If you already have Darkvision, it increases by 60 feet.
● You have advantage on Wisdom Saving Throws and Wisdom Perception checks that rely on sight.
● You have advantage on ability checks to see through illusions.
● You know any damage weaknesses, resistances and immunities of any creature you hit with an unarmed strike.

Your Transcendent Eye remains active for one minute or until you are incapacitated or end it as a free action. Transcendent Eye can be activated an equal amount to your proficiency bonus times per day.

Dedicated Strikes

Beginning at 3rd level, while your Transcendent Eye is active your acute sight and precision allows you determine and strike directly at enemy weak points. Each time you hit an enemy with your flurry of blows you deal additional damage equal to your Wisdom modifier. This does not make your unarmed strikes magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances.

Unparalleled Defense

Beginning at 6th level, your Transcendent Eye has become adept at spotting danger. When a creature targets you with an attack, you can spend 2 Ki points to take the dodge action as a reaction.

Additionally, after any creature hits you with a melee attack while you are dodging that creature must make a Wisdom saving throw or be pushed 5 feet and take bludgeoning damage equal to two rolls of your martial arts die.

 

Transcendent Eye Mastery

Beginning at 11th level, your mastery over the Transcendent Eye grows stronger allowing to see more than ever. While active, you now also gain the following additional benefits:

• You gain Truesight out to a range of 60 feet.
• Advantage on all Intelligence Investigation checks
• You know all bonuses to saving throws of any creature you hit with an unarmed strike.

Additionally, your Transcendent Eye can now remain active for a number of minutes equal to your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier or until you are incapacitated or end it as a free action.

Mystic Eye

Beginning at 11th level, the preternatural keenness you have gained with your Transcendent Eye allows you to see and strike at the weave of magic itself. You can cast Detect Magic at will, you can also cast Dispel Magic or Counterspell at a cost of 3 Ki points. Using Wisdom as your spellcasting modifier.

Great Sage

Beginning at 17th level, you have become a peerless sage that has mastered the Way of the Transcendent Eye. Training your eyes to see enemy weaknesses has allowed it to grow so powerful that it can see the weaknesses of magic itself allowing you to manipulate it through physical means like pulling on the threads of the weave.

When you activate your Transcendent Eye, you can spend Ki Points to gain one or more of the following benefits:

• 3 Ki points gain a fly speed equal to your walking speed
• 3 Ki points cast Haste (self only no concentration required)
• 7 Ki points cast Regenerate (self only)

These effects last as long as your Transcendent Eye Feature is active.
