Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of Survival is sworn by paladins who must live to fight another day, no matter the cost. They may have a spouse, a child, a sibling; whatever the case may be, they must make it home, no matter what. They are the shield that guards the hearth, someone who has gained the ability to be near impossible to kill in order to ensure their family's safety. Oath of Survival paladins gain abilities and spells that allow them to escape dangerous situations, take large amounts of damage without trouble, and evade death at every opportunity.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Bulwark of the Homestead. You call upon your divine connection to your loved ones to stay in the fight and protect your friends and family. As an action, you may gain a number of temporary hitpoints equal to your paladin level + your Constitution modifier

You may use this ability at any time you have no temporary hitpoints

Homeward Dash. As a bonus action, you may take the Disengage. When you do, your speed increases by twice your Constitution modifier, rounded to the nearest multiple of five until the end of your turn.

You may use this ability once per short rest

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Oath of Survival Spells

Aura of Perseverance

Starting at 7th level, whenever damage dealt to you is reduced by resistance or immunity, that damage that is deducted is distributed evenly among all creatures within 30 feet of you. The same happens for all damage dealt to your temporary hitpoints. At any time, you may choose up to two creatures that do not take damage this way as a bonus action. They lose that effect if you choose different creatures

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 50 feet.

Will to Survive

Beginning at 15th level, you are always under the effects of a protection from energy spell. After a short or long rest or as a reaction, you may choose a new damage type to be resistant to.

Eternal Homecoming

The spirits of your family are with you always. They watch over you, and will not allow you to make the ultimate sacrifice, even to help them. Starting at level 20, you gain the ability to cheat death in order to be with your family. The first time you die, you are resurrected in your home with your family. However, when you are resurrected this way you lose all abilities granted by your oath and may not become a paladin again.
