Monk
Base Class: Monk

Way of the Flowing Blade

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn to manipulate your ki to levitate and control 3 daggers. You must attune to them. It takes one hour to attune up to three daggers in this way. When attuned to your daggers in this way they are called “flow blades”. These daggers flow with your movements and attacks as if they were an extension of you. When you are in your blade flow the only weapons you can use are your flow blades. Bonus attacks use half your flow blades, rounded down. You can use your bonus action to invoke your flow, which lasts for thirty seconds. It ends early if you are incapacitated, if you are wearing medium or heavy armor or a shield, or if you use two hands to make an attack with a weapon. You can also dismiss the blade flow at any time you choose (no action required).

While your blade dance is active, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
  • Your melee attack range is increased to 10 feet.
  • Your melee attacks use all active daggers for each attack, rolling to hit for each individual dagger. When you attack In this way you can only target one person per action/bonus action.
