Monk
Base Class: Monk

Drunken Master? Nah, you're just drunk. The Way of the Drunken are for those who use the power of their drunkenness to do cool stuff. Ki? What's ki? I think you mean pure alcohol, because that's what flowing in your blood, not ki.

Alcoholism

At 3rd level, you gain an addiction to alcohol. Whenever you consume one average dose of alcohol, you gain one ki point. Some drinks contain higher concentrations of alcohol and thus you gain more ki points from them (consult your Dungeon Master). You may not gain ki points any other way. Additionally, you lose one ki point after a short or long rest.

While poisoned from alcohol intoxication, you gain the following benefits:

  • +1 to all attacks and damage rolls.
  • +1 to your Strength or Constitution Scores.
  • Proficiency with improvised weapons.
  • When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike or an improvised weapon on your turn, you can use a bonus action to attempt to grapple the target.

Additionally, you cannot die to alcohol poisoning. Furthermore, at 10th level, ignore Purity of Body. Instead of immunity to being poisoned, you have proficiency in Constitution Saving Throws. If you already had proficiency in Constitution Saving Throws, you have advantage on Constitution Saving Throws.

Drinking and Driving

At 3rd level, driving becomes difficult for you. You gain +10ft. per turn with vehicles, but you automatically fail Survival checks and checks made to determine your location and location of your destination unless you roll a natural 20.

Law enforcement and guards have advantage on spotting and tracking you and are much more likely to arrest you for drinking and driving.

Spewing

At 6th level, you can drunkenly spew in combat. At any time, you can spend any amount of ki to eject vomit or feces in a cone centered on you. The size of the cone depends on the ki spent:

Ki Spent Cone size
2-5 10ft.
6-9 15ft.
10-13 20ft.
14+ 30ft.

All creatures within the cone must make a DC Dexterity Saving Throw equal to your Constitution Score. Creatures in the cone take 1d4 acid damage for every ki point spent, or half as much on a success. Additionally, creatures that failed the save must make a DC 13 Wisdom Saving Throw or become Frightened by you.

The Alcohol Within Me Burned Brighter than the Car Crash Around Me

Twice per long rest, as a reaction, whenever you are about to take damage, you may gain 1d4 temporary hitpoints for every ki point you spend.

Rock Bottom

At 17th level, you gain a variety of abilities, including:

  • Liver's Confusion. Whenever you consume anything that isn't alcohol, you must make a DC 18 Constitution Saving Throw. On a failure, you become poisoned for one hour (not drunk poisoned).
  • Deep Drinker. You now harvest double the ki from alcohol.
  • Intoxicated Frenzy. Once per turn, you may spend two ki points to charge 15ft. at any time.
  • Drunkard's Luck. Once per long rest, you may spend five ki points to forgo rolling a d20 to automatically get a 20. Additionally, once per turn, you may spend three ki points to reroll one of your dice. You must accept the second roll.
  • Heightened or Dulled Senses. Once per hour, roll 1d4. On a 1, you have a -2 on Perception and Investigation checks while poisoned by alcohol. On a 2, you have advantage on Perception and Investigation checks while poisoned by alcohol. On a 3, you are forced to Reckless Attack every turn. On an 4, you have advantage against being Charmed or Frightened by magical or innate means while poisoned by alcohol. However, you have disadvantage against being Charmed or Frightened by normal means.
  • Drunken Stupor. Short rests take two hours and long rests take ten hours. Additionally, whenever you roll a natural one, you are immediately knocked into a stable yet unconscious state. You immediately return to your full health if you take damage, receive healing or after 1d4 rounds.
