College of the Void

Bards of the College of the Void are rare and enigmatic individuals who have ventured into the unfathomable realms of the Eldrazi, ancient beings of incomprehensible power and alien nature from the distant reaches of the multiverse. These bards have tapped into the chaotic energies of the void, harnessing the weirdness and destructiveness of the Eldrazi to fuel their performances. Their melodies are haunting and otherworldly, their lyrics imbued with the power to warp reality and ensnare minds.

The College of the Void is not for the faint of heart. The path to mastering the void is fraught with peril, as the bard must constantly resist the corrupting influence of the Eldrazi. Those who succeed, however, are granted immense power, able to bend space and time with their music, and unleash devastating effects on their enemies. These bards are both revered and feared, their presence a reminder of the thin veil that separates the known world from the cosmic horrors that lie beyond.

Void Bards are often solitary figures, drawn to places where the boundary between worlds is thin. They seek out knowledge and relics of the Eldrazi, using their understanding of these ancient beings to protect the world from extraplanar threats. Yet, they walk a fine line, as every performance, every spell, brings them closer to the void, threatening to consume their very essence.

The College of the Void represents the ultimate expression of bardic power: the ability to influence and manipulate the very fabric of reality through the medium of music. For these bards, the void is both an instrument and an ally, a source of endless potential and unspeakable danger. Those who master it become legendary, their names whispered in both awe and fear across the multiverse.

Mote of Potential

When you join the College of the Void at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with Arcana and the use of void-infused instruments, which can be any instrument you choose that has been attuned to Eldrazi energy.

Void Whisperer

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to communicate telepathically with any creature you can see within 30 feet of you. You don't need to share a language with the creature for it to understand your telepathic messages, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language. Additionally, you learn the cantrip Void Whisper.

Eldritch Lullaby

At 6th level, you learn the spell [Tooltip Not Found]. This spell can be cast without expending a spell slot once per long rest. Additionally, you gain access to the following spells:

Cosmic Frequencies

Starting at 6th level, your connection to the void allows you to manipulate the very fabric of reality with your performances. When you cast a spell that deals damage or forces a creature to make a saving throw, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to impose disadvantage on the saving throw or cause the damage to bypass resistance and immunity.

Eldritch Conductor

At 14th level, you become a master of void-infused performances, conducting the chaotic energies of the Eldrazi with ease. You learn the following spells:

• Reality Distortion
• Eldrazi Ensnare

Additionally you gain the ability to use your eldritch knowledge of destruction to your advantage: Whenever you concentrate on a spell that targets an area you can use one of your bardic inspiration's to make that spell even worse. You can choose to ensnare creatures within the area with Eldrazi tendrils. Each creature that is in the area of effect must make a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC or be restrained for 1 minute. A restrained creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
