Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

As a Blood Berserker, your connection to your own vitality is a double-edged sword. Your battle style is aggressive and reckless, often leaving you bloodied but victorious. Your companions may worry about your self-destructive tendencies, but they cannot deny your effectiveness in battle. Your scars tell the story of your resilience and determination.

Blood Frenzy

When you choose this path at 3rd level, you can enter a blood frenzy as a bonus action. While in a blood frenzy:

  • You can sacrifice a number of hit points up to half your Barbarian level (rounded up). For each hit point sacrificed, you gain a +1 bonus to your damage rolls until the end of your next turn.
  • While in a blood frenzy, you cannot regain hit points through magical means.
  • The frenzy lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you haven't attacked a hostile creature since your last turn. You can also end your frenzy on your turn as a bonus action.
  • You can enter a blood frenzy a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Blood Bond

At 6th level, your connection to the power of your own blood deepens.

  • When you are below half your hit point maximum, you gain advantage on Strength checks and saving throws.
  • You can sacrifice additional hit points up to your Barbarian level to add a bonus to your attack rolls (but not damage rolls) equal to the hit points sacrificed. This bonus lasts until the end of your next turn.

Blood Shield

Starting at 10th level, you can use your blood to form a protective barrier.

  • As a reaction when you take damage, you can sacrifice a number of hit points up to your Barbarian level. Reduce the damage taken by twice the amount of hit points sacrificed. This reduction cannot exceed the damage taken.
  • You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Bloodrage

At 14th level, your mastery over your own life force reaches its peak.

  • When you enter a blood frenzy, you can choose to enter a bloodrage instead. While in a bloodrage, you gain all the benefits of a blood frenzy, and your attacks deal an additional 2d10 necrotic damage.
  • When you are in a bloodrage, as a bonus action, you can sacrifice hit points to gain temporary hit points equal to the hit points sacrificed. These temporary hit points last until your bloodrage ends.
  • After using this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.
