College of Runes

Adherents of the College of Runes master the art of Rune magic. 
Mastering crafting these Runes takes time, effort, and skill.
The Skálds of Rune magic use their runes to play magical songs, blending magic and storytelling, or destructive power with music. 
All races are welcome to the College of Runes, but few can master it.

Rune Magic

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to create magical runes and inscribe them on objects.
These runes hold the ability to cast a spell once without using a spell slot.
You must have the spell prepared to inscribe it as a rune.
You must have at least one spell slot of that level available to inscribe a rune.
Each rune you inscribe uses one spell slot of the required level when inscribed.
It requires an action to activate a rune.
You may not inscribe multiple instances of the same rune on an object.
After 24 hours the runes magic fades and must be reapplied or changed to a different rune for a different spell.
Whenever you finish a long rest, you can inscribe runes equal to the number of runes you can inscribe.
To be eligible, an object must be a weapon, armor, a shield, a piece of jewelry, an instrument or something else you can wear or hold in a hand.
Runes remain on an object until you finish a long rest.

Magic Gathering

You have learned to regain some of your magical energy by meditating. Once per day when you finish a short rest, you can choose expended spell slots to recover. The spell slots can have a combined level that is equal to or less than half your level (rounded up) and none of the slots can be higher than 6th level.

Master of Runes

14th-level College of Runes feature.

You can invoke three runes you know from your Rune Magic feature twice, rather than once, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

18th-level  Master of Runes feature.

At 18th level, you can invoke each rune you know from your rune magic feature twice rather than once.
