Base Class: Monk
The Order of When, better known as Time or History Monks, are usually apart of secretive religious organizations. They learn the secret art of "Déjà Fu" to manipulate time and space, and are responsible for observing significant events in time so that they become history.
Déjà Fu
Starting at 3rd level, you gain additional ki features.
Walk through Space. At the beginning of your turn, you can spend 2 ki points to double your movement speed until the end of your current turn. At the end of your turn, you can shift through space and appear at an unoccupied space that you've occupied at some point during the current turn.
Punch through Time. When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to make one additional unarmed strike at advantage as apart of that same Attack action.
Historical Observer
Beginning at 3rd level, as a witness to history and its events, you need the skills necessary for the task. You gain proficiency in the History and Perception skills if you don't already have it.
Through Space and Time
At 6th level, you gain the ability to transport small objects through space and time. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to collapse your hands around an object, causing it to vanish from your present time, or shifted into an extradimensional space.
A small object, which isn't being held or carried by a creature other than you and which can weigh no more than 20 pounds, is magically shifted into a special extradimensional space. This extradimensional space can only retain 1 small object and remains there until you spend another 2 ki points to remove it. Objects placed inside this extradimensional space such as a Bag of Holding or similar object does not destroy the object, nor create a gate to the Astral Plane.
A medium sized or smaller object, which isn't being held or carried by a creature other than you and which can weigh no more than 100 pounds, is magically transported some amount of time into the future that you choose. If the object is magical, you must make a Wisdom saving throw to shift it, using the DC from the list below.
- Common Item: DC 5
- Uncommon Item: DC 10
- Rare Item: DC 15
- Very Rare Item: DC 20
- Legendary Item: DC 25
- Artifact Item: DC 30
Until you choose to do so, or after 1 minute the object reappears in the exact location it was in when you shifted it. If the space is occupied by a creature or object, the target object instead appears in the closest unoccupied space.
Procrastinators and Time Thieves
At 11th level, you gain the ability to slow the time of creatures around you, and quicken yourself or another. You can spend 4 ki points to cast Slow or Haste. Casting either spell requires no spellcasting components, nor does it require concentration. Each spell lasts for the full duration, ending the effects at their natural conclusion.
Sweeper Agent
As a time-keeping man in saffron, it is your duty to ensure certain events happen the way they are meant to be. Some creatures or objects, just know too much or should be removed from the timeline. You now have the authority to change that.
At 17th level, you gain the ability to remove a creature or object from existence. When you hit a creature or object with an unarmed strike, you can spend 5 ki points to attempt to erase it from the timeline. The target takes 10d10 force damage, if the target is an object it takes double the damage. If this damage reduces the targets hit points to 0, it is erased from time. No trace remains of the erased target and the memories of any creature that knew of its existence (besides you and the creatures who witnessed you use this ability) are altered to reflect the fact that the target never existed. If anything else in the world would not make sense in the absence of the target, history is rewritten to explain it. The DM determines the new version of events.
