Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Punk is seen not only as a bardic college, but as a set of movements. Those in this movements seek to upturn the status quo, for practically any and all reasons. The music of those in this college is often considered the antithesis to much of classical ideas of music, sounding heavy, fast, and violent. Bards of this college seek to spread their ideas in a way that cannot be ignored, and so they are often involved in large stunts or even riots, and may create graffiti of their symbol or movement in places where many people will see it.

Those of this college dress and act differently from how many do, wearing black leather clothes with sharp metal spikes, and using odd slang often. The instruments they use are often artificer-made, and are incredibly loud. Many of the people in this college are chaotic, passionate, and generally good natured, but you can find all types scattered throughout.

Bonus Proficiencies

Starting at 3rd level, when you pick this subclass, you gain proficiency with martial weapons and medium armor.

Riot in the Streets

When you join the College of Punk at 3rd level, you gain the ability to enter a rage by expending one bardic inspiration die as a bonus action. This is slightly different from a barbarian's rage.

While raging, you gain the following benefits if you aren't wearing heavy armor:

  • You may add your proficiency bonus to Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
  • Whenever you attack, you may add half your proficiency (rounded down) +1 to your damage.
  • You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

Your rage lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you haven't attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage since then. You can also end your rage on your turn as a bonus action.

You may cast spells while raging.

Rebellious Insparation

Also at 3rd level, you begin to inspire rebellion in others. Whenever a creature you've given a bardic inspiration die is attacked, they may chose to use their reaction to use the die, adding the maximum number on the die to their next attack roll, and half of it to their damage roll. Alternatively, when attacked, the creature may chose to use their reaction to roll the die, and block that much damage from being dealt to them.

Tear It Down

Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn, and you gain 10ft of movement.

Fiery Spirit

At 14th level, you have become strong in your resolve and spirit, becoming devoted to action. You may add your proficiency bonus to your initiative. While in a rage, if your total for a Strength check is less than 10 + your strength modifier, you can use that in place of the total. You may also rage indefinitely.
