Training in War and Magic

2nd-level  feature

You gain proficiency with light armor, and you gain proficiency with one type of one-handed melee weapon of your choice.

You also gain proficiency in the Performance skill if you don’t already have it.

Sign & Slash Stance

2nd-level School of Ninjutsu feature

You can invoke an elven magic called the Sign & Slash Stance, provided that you aren’t wearing medium or heavy armor or using a shield. It graces you with supernatural speed, agility, and focus.

You can use a bonus action to start the Sign & Slash Stance, which lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are incapacitated, if you don medium or heavy armor or a shield, or if you use two hands to make an attack with a weapon. You can also dismiss the Sign & Slash Stance at any time (no action required).

While your Sign & Slash Stance is active, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
  • You have advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks.
  • You gain a bonus to any Constitution saving throw you make to maintain your concentration on a spell. The bonus equals your Dexterity modifier (minimum of +1).

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Ritual of Binding

You learn a ritual that creates a magical bond between yourself and one weapon.

You perform the ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. The weapon must be within your reach throughout the ritual, at the conclusion of which you touch the weapon and forge the bond.

Once you have bonded a weapon to yourself, you can't be disarmed of that weapon unless you are incapacitated. If it is on the same plane of existence, you can summon that weapon as a bonus action on your turn, causing it to teleport instantly to your hand.

The bonded weapon can also be used as a spellcasting focus. You can have only one bonded weapon at a time. If you attempt to bond with a second weapon, you must break the bond with the first one.

Swift Signing

6th-level School of Ninjutsu feature

You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. Moreover, you can cast one of your cantrips in place of one of those attacks.

Substitution Tactic

10th-level School of Ninjutsu feature

You can direct your magic to summon a toad and redirect damage while your Sign & Slash Stance is active. When you take damage, you can use your reaction to expend one spell slot of level 3 or more and reduce that damage to you by summoning a giant toad to take the damage instead of you.

(You are pushed back to leave space for the toad to get in front of you, you ride the toad if you don't have enough space)
You cannot have more than 2 toads active at the same time.
The giant toad has a HP Total of 20 + 7x Spell slot level used.

Pressure Points

14th-level Bladesinging feature

You can add your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1) to the damage of your melee weapon attacks while your Bladesong is active.
