Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Decades of isolation and living in fear have led some Changelings to seek a way to protect themselves, and for others a way to enact their vengeance. As they rage, these barbarians draw their power from Vyrtis' Hearth, bolstered by his burning embers.

Charcoal Armour

Starting at the 3rd level, when raging your skin begins to darken and crack, taking on the appearing of charcoal. Between the cracks reveals glowing embers. You gain +2 to AC, and omit 10ft of dim light.

Bolstering Embers

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, the harnessed power of Vyrtis' Embers bolsters you. When you enter rage, roll on the Blessings of the Hearth table to determine the magical effect produced.

If the effect requires a saving throw, the DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier

Bolstering Embers

1 The ground around you begins to darken, creating rough terrain in a 10ft radius centered on you. Any creatures who start or end their turn in this terrain must make a Dexterity save or take 1d6 fire damage.
2 Something has upset the hearth, and now the flames try to surge from within you. Make a Constitution saving throw, on a fail take 2d6 fire damage as you try to suppress them.
3  Any source of fire or light in a 60ft radius of you begins to pulse with your breath, as an action you can draw it closer or push it further away from you by 10ft.
4 You have gained their attention, you may choose to turn any damage type into fire upon a hit.
5 Whenever a creature hits you with a melee attack before your rage ends, that creature takes 1d6 fire damage, as flames lash out in retribution
6 Until your rage ends, you are surrounded by plumes of smoke; while within 10 feet of you, your allies gain +1 to AC

Favor of the Hearth

At the 6th level, twice per long rest, you can choose a creature within 30ft of you and grant them resistance to fire damage.

Vyrtis' Mercy

At the 10th level, you gain the ability to turn death into flames of vitality. When a small or larger creature that you can see dies within 30 feet of you, you can use your reaction to cause swirling flames to spring from the body. When a creature you can see touches these flames, the creature regains hit points or takes fire damage (your choice) equal to 2d10 + your Wisdom modifier. The flames vanish after a creature has touched them or after 1 minute.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Strength modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Burning Fury

At 14th level, you become a swirl of flames while you are raging. As a bonus action, you can reroll on the Bolstering Embers table, replacing your current effect with the new one. If you roll the same number on both dice, you can ignore it and choose any effect on the table.
