Base Class: Wizard
Witchcraft Wizards are practitioners who have deviated from the structured path of traditional wizardry. Instead of spending years poring over ancient tomes and studying under strict mentors, these wizards learn their craft through a master-student relationship with other witches. Apprenticeship is the cornerstone of their education, where knowledge is passed down through generations via rituals, stories, and hands-on experience. They draw their power from the natural world, spirits, and ancient rituals. Witchcraft Wizards blend the raw destructive power of Evocation, the flexible and versatile spellcraft of Scribes, and the summoning prowess of Conjuration. This unique approach allows them to wield a diverse array of magical abilities, often surprising their more conventionally trained counterparts.
Witch’s Grimoire
2nd-level Order of Witchcraft feature
When you choose this tradition at 2nd level, you gain a special grimoire that serves as a conduit for your witchcraft. This grimoire is not a mundane book but a conjured, magically alive entity that enhances your spellcasting and grants you additional abilities:
- Dismiss Grimoire: As a bonus action, you can temporarily dismiss your grimoire into a pocket dimension or cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you.
- Natural Script: You can cast spells from your grimoire without needing material components that are not consumed by the spell.
- Living Tome: Your grimoire can move on its own, has a fly speed of 20 feet, and can understand and obey simple commands you give it.
- Grimoire of Secrets: You can use your grimoire to cast spells as a ritual, even if they do not have the ritual tag, but doing so increases the casting time to 10 minutes.
This grimoire disappears if you create another one or if you die.
Witch's Familiar
6th-level Order of Witchcraft feature
Starting at 6th level, you can summon a familiar with enhanced abilities using your witchcraft. When you cast the Find Familiar spell, your familiar gains the following benefits:

- It gains proficiency in one saving throw of your choice.
- As a bonus action, you can temporarily dismiss your familiar into a pocket dimension or cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you.
Ritual of Conjuration
10th-level Order of Witchcraft feature
By 10th level, your witchcraft has granted you greater control over summoning spells. When you cast a conjuration spell that summons creatures or objects, you can choose one of the following benefits:
- The summoned creatures or objects have their hit points increased by an amount equal to your wizard level.
- The duration of the spell is doubled, if it is not instantaneous.
Witch’s Apotheosis
14th-level Order of Witchcraft feature
Upon reaching 14th level, you embody the pinnacle of witchcraft wizardry. You gain the following benefits:
- Elemental Mastery: When you cast an evocation spell that deals acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage, you can change the damage type to one of the other types listed.
- Spirit Summoner: When you cast a conjuration spell that summons creatures, you can summon an additional creature of the same kind. The additional creature appears as a spectral version of the original creature, with normal hit points equal to the original creature. This creature will disappear after 1 hour.
