Base Class: Fighter
As a fighter of the reaver archetype, frozen lands are no mystery to you. Masterfully travelling across the tundras and either aiding, or raiding those unable to handle the desolate cold, you may bring the warmth of a hearth on a snowy day to your allies, and the frigid wrath of winter upon your foes. Reavers are often nomadic, travelling in tribes and groups but never acting alone. Tribes that reaver's travel with usually bond with animals such as wolves and snow tigers, preferring the wild chaotic life nature they share with beasts, rather then the luxuries of civilisation.
A reaver is a boon to any nomadic tribe facing snow and ice, able to track and hunt in snow while also being less vulnerable to it's dangers and miseries. A reaver is also allies with rangers, seeing nature as a sacred place.
Boon of the Cold
3rd-level Reaver feature
As a reaver, you have heightened resistance then most to the harsh cold. You have resistance to cold damage, and to the extreme effects of cold temperature. Additionally, you know how to use ice itself as a remedy. You may use a handful of ice as an action on a creature within 5 feet, to stem bleeding and block wounds, healing hit points equal to your wisdom modifier (minimum of 1). You may do so a number of times equal to your proficency bonus per long rest.
Frostbite
7th-level Reaver feature
You have learned how to harness the tundra with your weapons. You may as an action make a frostbitten attack. This is a single weapon attack that deals an extra 2d8 cold damage on hit. Additionally, creatures of your choice within 10-feet of the targeted creature must make a dexterity saving throw DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your wisdom modifier, regardless of if you hit or miss the target creature. On a failure, they take 1d6 cold damage, and their walking speed is reduced by 10 feet as frostbite burns their legs. On a success, they take half that damage. You may do this twice per long rest.
At 11th level, the damage increases by 2d8 and 2d6 respectively, and at 20th level the damage increases by 2d8 and 2d6 respectively.
Breath of Winter
10th-level Reaver feature
Your presence on the battlefield brings the wrath of winter upon your foes. Once per long rest, you may release an aura of extreme cold around you, with a radius of 5 times your wisdom modifier. Creatures in the aura must make a Constitution saving throw, DC 8 + your proficiency modifier + your wisdom modifier at the start of their turn. On a failure, they take 2d6 cold damage, and their movement speed is reduced by 10 feet for as long as they remain in the aura. The slowing effect stacks, until they reach 0 feet. If they fail again, they are restrained as ice completely covers them. The aura lasts for 1 minute.
Creatures resistant to cold damage make the saving throw with advantage, while creatures immune to cold damage automatically succeed.
At 16th level, the damage increases to 4d6, and creatures resistant to cold damage no longer make the saving throw with advantage.
Frigid Bulwark
15th-level Reaver feature
You can shield yourself and others with frigid ice. Whenever you see an allied creature being attacked within 60 feet, you may create a bulwark of ice to guard them as a reaction. The frigid bulwark has an AC of 13 + your wisdom modifier and hit points equal to four times your fighter level. The frigid bulwark occupies the same space as the allied creature, and any attacks targeting them gets redirected to the frigid bulwark. The frigid bulwark cannot suffer from any conditions, and is immune to cold, psychic, and poison damage, but vulnerable to fire damage.
Once you take this reaction, you cannot do so again until you have finished a long rest.
Tundra Sanctuary
18th-level Reaver feature
Your mastery over winter itself manifests in a magnificent aura. Whenever you activate your Breath of Winter feature, allied creatures and yourself regain 2d6 hit points at the start of your turn. Additionally, allied creatures may add a +2 to their armor class, as ice coats their armor reinforcing it and skin hardening it. Additionally, the radius of Breath of Winter increases to 10 times your wisdom modifier.
