Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Your magic is a rare and potent blend of multiple sorcerous bloodlines, making you a living embodiment of diverse arcane heritage. Unlike other sorcerers who draw their power from a single source, your abilities are a tapestry woven from the essence of various ancestries. This unique fusion grants you versatile and adaptable powers, allowing you to harness the strengths of different bloodlines.

At 1st level, you choose three sorcerous origins and gain minor features from each, reflecting your chimeric nature. As you grow in power, your ability to blend and manipulate these magical energies enhances, allowing you to shift damage types, gain resistances, and adapt your spellcasting to various situations. By 18th level, you achieve unparalleled mastery, embodying the true potential of your hybrid bloodline and becoming a formidable force in any arcane endeavor.

Arcane Synergy

Converging Powers

You can choose an additional feature from one of your chosen bloodlines, reflecting the deeper integration of your ancestry. Additionally, you gain the ability to fuse two bloodlines to create unique abilities. Here are some options:

  • Draconic + Shadow: Umbral Dragon's Breath

    • As an action, you can exhale a shadowy breath weapon in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 8d6 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Additionally, creatures that fail the save are frightened of you until the end of your next turn. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
  • Storm + Divine: Thunderous Smite

    • When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 2d8 lightning damage and 2d8 radiant damage. Additionally, the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of your next turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses after a long rest.
  • Wild + Aberrant: Chaotic Mind

    • As an action, you can unleash a burst of wild psionic energy. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you must make an Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 6d10 psychic damage and is confused (as per the confusion spell) for 1 minute. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and is not confused. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
  • Clockwork + Draconic: Temporal Scales

    • As a reaction when you are hit by an attack, you can cover yourself in shimmering, clockwork dragon scales, gaining temporary hit points equal to your sorcerer level and resistance to the damage type of the triggering attack until the end of your next turn. Additionally, time around you briefly slows, causing the attacker to have disadvantage on its next attack roll against you. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses after a long rest.
  • Divine + Aberrant: Celestial Psionics

    • As a bonus action, you can manifest a halo of divine and psionic energy. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
      • You have resistance to radiant and psychic damage.
      • When you deal damage with a spell, you can add your Charisma modifier to the damage.
      • You can communicate telepathically with any creature you can see within 60 feet.
    • Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
  • Shadow + Storm: Tempest of Shadows

    • As an action, you can create a swirling storm of shadows in a 20-foot radius centered on a point you can see within 60 feet. The area becomes heavily obscured, and creatures within the storm take 4d6 lightning damage and 4d6 necrotic damage at the start of each of their turns. The storm lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it (no action required). Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Chimeric Convergence

As an action, you can expend 10 sorcery points to unleash a devastating attack that combines the essence of all your bloodlines into a singular, cataclysmic event. Choose a point you can see within 120 feet. An explosion of energy erupts in a 60-foot radius, affecting all creatures in the area.

Chimeric Blast: Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, a creature takes 12d10 damage divided among all the damage types associated with your bloodlines (e.g., fire, lightning, necrotic). On a successful save, a creature takes half damage.

Effects of Chimeric Blast:

  • Draconic: Add fire damage and ignite flammable objects in the area.
  • Storm: Create a thunderous boom, deafening creatures for 1 minute (they can repeat the saving throw at the end of their turns).
  • Shadow: Envelop the area in magical darkness that lasts until the end of your next turn.
  • Wild: Trigger wild magic surges affecting creatures within the blast radius, rolling on the Wild Magic Surge table.
  • Clockwork: Inflict temporal distortion, imposing disadvantage on the next attack rolls of affected creatures.
  • Divine: Heal yourself or an ally within the blast radius for 3d10 hit points as part of the energy surge.
  • Aberrant: Inflict psychic damage, causing confusion; affected creatures must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or act randomly on their next turn.

Choose any combination of these effects to apply to your Chimeric Blast. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
