Base Class: Monk
Many snicker on the concept of adopting the fighting skills of the Kangaroo, but those who see the strength and speed of a unique creature know it is not to be mocked. Monks of the Roo emulate the unique and powerful movements of the kangaroo. They incorporate bounding leaps, powerful kicks, and enhanced agility into their martial arts.
Bounding Strikes
Bounding Leap: As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to leap up to 30 feet in any direction. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
Roo Strike: When you make an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 Ki point to deal additional 1d6 bludgeoning damage. At Level 9 this ability goes up to 2d6.
Roo Agility
Quick Reflexes: You can add your Wisdom modifier to your initiative rolls.
Evasive Bound: When an enemy makes a successful melee hit, you can spend 1 ki point as a reaction to add your wisdom modifier to your AC
Mighty Kick
Roo Kick: When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 2 ki points to force the target to make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier). On a failed save, the target is pushed back 20 feet and knocked prone. On a successful save, the target is only pushed back 10 feet.
Osphranter Apex
Bounding Blitz: You can spend 4 ki points to turn your unarmed strike into a leap kick. When you do so, you can leap up to 20 feet before each attack, without provoking opportunity attacks.
Roo’s Resilience: You gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from non-magical attacks. Additionally, when you use your Patient Defense, you gain temporary hit points equal to your monk level plus your wisdom modifier.
