Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Steel Crow monastery, under Tamriel Hellsong's mentorship, have developed a unique monastic tradition that employs techniques used by late contemporaries of their master. B.O.B., Rudimer, the Blue Devil Monastery, and even his living ally Vaerys K'orr, all have their techniques emulated in this fighting style.
Blue Devil's Technique
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can harness your ki to empower your unarmed strikes. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:
- The target takes fire damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die.
- The target must make a Strength saving throw against your Ki save DC. On a fail, the target takes 1d4 lightning damage and their movement speed is halved until the start of your next turn, as a clawed hand of lightning forms around them immediately and slows them.
Designer's Note: This feature emulates Tamriel Hellsong's fighting style.
Thunderous Blast
At 6th level, you can harness your ki to create solid projectiles and launch them at foes with the force of a bullet. As an action, you can spend 3 ki points to launch a concentrated mote of your ki at a creature within 120 feet of you. Make an unarmed strike against the creature. On a hit, the attack deals two additional dice of damage.
Designer's Note: This feature emulates Shien Sei's fighting style.
Dragonsteel Deflection
Starting at 11th level, you can embody the strength and certainty of steel, outright nullifying attacks. You can use your reaction to deflect or endure when you are hit by a melee weapon attack. When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by 1d10 + your Dexterity modifier or Constitution modifier (choose one) + your monk level.
If you reduce the damage to 0, you can unleash a counterattack on your attacker. If you do so, you can spend 3 ki points and make an unarmed strike against the creature that attacked you. If the unarmed strike hits, the target is stunned until the start of their next turn.
Designer's Note: This feature emulates Vaerys K'orr and B.O.B.'s fighting styles.
Crow de Grace
At 17th level, you can cheat death, unleashing a deathly aura that saps the life of your foes. When you would be reduced to 0 hit points but not killed out, you can spend up to 10 Ki points. If you do so, roll a number of d10s equal to the amount of Ki points spent. You regain an amount of hit points equal to the roll + your Constitution modifier, and each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you takes necrotic damage equal to the roll.
Designer's Note: This feature emulates Rudimer Seriel's fighting style.
